Gotta read the whole thread; I'm just asking if I can use non-ABS axles in an ABS rear axle housing.

Hey, when did you turn 19 ? ! Happy Birthday! Truck's lookin" pretty serious dude.

You probably should have specified "Axle Shafts" or "half shafts". Woulda made more sense haha.

And I turned 19 in April, and my birthday was overshadowed by the Boston Marathon bombing. That kinda knocked me off the "woo today is my birthday" vibe and made me both hate the world and love Boston a little more.

And thanks Jon! It's coming together really well! I have some REAL skids on the parts train coming up from NJ, a rear (if possible) high-clearance bumper in the near-ish future, been slowly building it back up after my truck almost drowned at swimming lessons lol. I just need a new AC compressor and a new PS pump to get rid of the horrible whining sound and power robbing, and then I start saving for the best investments ever! Either a TRD/URD (still undecided) supercharger, or a rear Dana 60 with 4.56's, an ARB locker, and it'll be 4" wider than stock. A Dana 60 front axle is to follow that shortly after.

Also, I really wish I had a V8. I drove one and dear lord is it awesome!

Haha we ran out of oil tonight. Waiting for the oil company to come by and re-fill/ re-prime the line. Damn gauge wasn't working correctly. When I tapped on it it dropped down to empty. Needless to say it's a little chilly in the house right now, but not too bad.

Damn... that sucks, Seth! At least it's warmed up a little since earlier in the week and should get warm today. Better to find out now vs. later in winter when you run the risk of pipes freezing up.

My truck just pulled a Jason. I was stopping going down hill and I hit a sewer cover which caused my ABS kick in (I guess) but my pedal just went to the floor and I could hear clicking like ATRAC almost.

Took foot off brake and reapplied brake. Problem solved. I hate that my truck does this from time to time though.

Haha ya, just me not paying attention. And ya, better not than in January. Probably should just go auto-fill, but i'm down in the basement all the time so I don't really see a need to. Oil level gauge just got stuck or something.

It's in the owners manual, you should avoid man-hole covers...

Did you try getting the vsc re-calibrated or whatever 2nd gen's have to do when they lift?

Similar deal just happened with my buddy. He had them come out and fill, prime and clean.

ABS? What's that? I disabled it. I got tired of it kicking in at the worst times.
