Ditto to that. They bought back my '99 in July of this year. Gave me well more than it was worth, haha.

Linda got 10 grand for hers and it was probably worth 5..170k, a few dents and such..plus it saved us a grand of replacing the clutch in the near future.

I got just shy of $16k for mine.
Extended cab 4x4 V6 TRD Limited, with a 5 speed & 185k on the clock. I loved that truck. The body was immaculate on it, I was bummed when they told me Toyota was going to buy it back rather than replace the frame.
Of course, then they told me what they were buying it back for and I wasn't as bummed anymore. So I went crazy and bought a 2010, lol.

Hers was extended 4wd, not much else..5 spd and slider is all else I can think of, ran like a top though.

When she called me from the dealer my heart sank, since we just took a 5 yr loan the year before on my new truck and the plan was keep hers 5 more yrs. Then she told me the 10k figure and that they had a new rental ready to go free of charge..she ended up with an 05 Rav4 60K only costing us about 4k.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma

What the hell happened now??? I swear if you guys don't cut the shit with all the name calling I will personally go to the mods and ask for you to be penalized or banned. There is no reason for any of this to be happening. If you guys have a problem with someone work it out through PMs or just don't say anything at all. You guys are running it for the rest of us that like this thread! Grow up!!!

Not officially. People have had varying degrees of success arguing with Toyota to get their frames replaced. I read one thread where the guy spent weeks arguing with Toyota. They started out saying they couldn't do anything, then that they'd cover the parts but labor was on him, then 50% of the labor, then they finally agreed to cover the whole thing. He was a Mass. member also so close to home.
