Dunno, but if you click on the Monty Python guys on the TW banner it brings you to his build thread. Pretty sure it's just good-natured fun.

    Exactly.
I've been staying up late and drinking with friends on New Year's since I was 15. No drinking until I was 21, of course. That would be illegal. :spy:

I got up yesterday morning at 3:30. I had no desire to be up until 3:30, haha!

Agreed. Reap what you sow, Threefold return and all that.

The girlfriend would disagree with you, haha.
It was more a matter of exhaustion than maturity, if I'm honest.
But, at 29 I know that the hangover the next day isn't worth it. Plus I can't sleep past 7:00 anymore, so that'd be a problem too...

Right now I am thinking you had the right idea...not sure when we were up until but the sun was up :drunk: haha. Now i am paying for it hard. I usually hate lazy, hungover, unproductive days. Doesn't bother me now because i took the rest of the week off :woot:

I fell asleep at 1030. I've had many years of going out partying. To many yahoos on the roads for me .

Got my mailbox hole dug this morning . Off to grab some concrete . It's funny how many little things you don't notice when your looking at houses.

I hear ya. My mailbox doesn't have a flag and is coming off the mounts. I'm growing tired of going to the post office each time I get mail from the previous owner.

I also find things that seemed annoying but not a huge deal when I was looking at the house have turned into a huge deal now that I'm in the house.

Grab a 5 gallon bucket also. Drop that in your hole and fill it with conrete around the 4x4. If you ever need to move it or replace it it will be much easier to dig it out.

My next mailbox post will be some black pipe. The town plows break the wood ones. They never "hit" them but the heavy wet snow they throw snaps the post like a tooth pick so they are not responsible for the damage

4"x4"x3/8" tube steel filled with concrete will end that problem :D

I like it. That oughta put a little sting in the hands of a bat swing punk out for some midnight mayhem

My neighbor down the road did something like that when I was a kid. Kids with bats took out his mailbox three times in one summer, so he took a 4" cast iron pipe, buried it three feet down in a concrete bucket, and welded together a mailbox out of 1/4" plate steel.
I've always wondered if anybody ever tried to bat his mailbox after that. There were others on the hill that got smashed, but with that one you wouldn't really be able to tell.
Part of me hopes that they tried, though.

I keep a Beretta 9mm handy. For most people, a 12 gauge shotgun with medium-size (#6-ish) shot is probably the most foolproof tool for inside the house.

That's the ideal, but if this is a cheap get-me-by for now..or a Satoshi frame..
