Safety videos are the worst part of starting a new job.
"What's that you say? Walking in front of a loaded forklift isn't a great idea? I NEVER knew that!"

    :frusty:

Sometimes the sexual harassment videos are funny, at least.

"Oh my god, that Joe guy keeps brushing up against me and asking me out on dates. I don't want to tell him to F*ck off because it'd be rude..." :goingcrazy:

Haha so does mine in my 92. Sounds like a sewing machine. They nice thing is they are really easy to work on. What's wrong with the engine in it?

Also, 4crawler has a bunch of awesome how to's and cheap fixes on his site for the 22re if you haven't checked it out.

The previous owner wasnt sure. It sounds like upper drive train, maybe a valve. The guy rebuilt the motor for it and is giving it to denis so it will be a simple motor swap for now.

Does it do it at startup and then right at 2800ish?

Probably your timing chain guides if so. They're a PITA to do. You're supposed to drop the front diff and pull the head to replace the chain. It's the reason I ended up selling my 93. The cheapest shop quote was 2,200 and it was December and I didn't have a garage. That and it had failed inspection for a few suspension pieces.

I just need to adjust the valve lash on mine. The timing chain can be done without pulling all that crap, not even the head. There is a good write-up on 4crawler how to do it by just removing the timing chain cover. The chain guides likely need to be replaced in it since they are original, but my 92 only has 117k miles. My '02 on the other hand has ~127k miles:eek:

I saw how to do it without pulling the head but if I remember right at the time there was something about it that I wasn't really a fan of doing. It was a gasket or something that could get damaged.

Had I been living where I had a garage and it wasn't the middle of winter I would have taken a shot at it.

Ya if you're not careful you can damage the head gasket. But the normal procedure has you removing the head anyways, so at that point it's just like you're doing it the fsm way

I have my license plate there but bought a pair of Dually D2's originally to sit on either side of the plate in that exact location. Now that I have them though, I'm thinking about sticking them behind the grille so they're mounted higher and will throw further.

Well now. Looks like we're looking at some snow Wednesday night.
I'm in the 10-16" range. And over the line for 10-16" of snow, too. :rimshot:
