Sounds like your prepared....to take someone out in the woods and take a few days to kill and dismember them.

Have any of you tuned a 4 carb motorcycle engine (John)? How difficult is it to re-sync the carbs? I'm fairly mechanically inclined, is this something I can take on or is there a learning curve that's best to have an expert on hand while attempting your first time?

On a related note, the bike will be up for sale again if anyone is interested. It'll be freshly tuned up and ready to go. I'll sell it or trade for a single cylinder dual sport. The bike is a 2002 Suzuki Katana 750 with quite a few upgrades and very low miles, like around 10k miles.

It's not to bad to do . You need to remove the seat and tank . You need a carb sync tool . Something like this http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000K7JHWA
Hook up the lines to the carb , fire it up , then adjust each carb so the fluids in the tool are even . If you can't get them even then most likely you have some junk in your carb and you should clean them .
Also if your a cheap ass you can make your own sync tool . I'll let you google that.

I've seen some of the home-made tools and no way I'm doing that route. I was planning on buying one of the sync tools, just wasn't sure how hard the process is. I know the rest of the work will be a PITA, hafta remove the plastics, seat and tank for what I want to do with hit. It's getting a full tune up, plugs, carb clean, valve adjustment and all cables lubed up and checked.

Anyone have any good laptop suggestions for the less than $600 range? I accidentally dropped my asus a good distance and my video card got fucked up. Now i can only display in low low graphics mode, and no more Netflix.

Looking at the Lenovo think pads. They seem to be the most durable. Its a shame that toughbooks are so expensive.

I have an HP and it's been pretty nice so far. It cost me $350, for what I use it for, it's been a nice computer. That being said, we have HP's at work and they're very unreliable. To me, that means if you're just using it to putz around at home, it works well but if you use it all day every day, don't get an HP.

More like in case I ever got stranded somewhere and needed to hike out.
I grew up doing a lot of hunting and camping in Western Maine, usually alone, and usually where there was no cell service. So even though I would tell people roughly where I was going and roughly when I'd be back, I always figured I'd err on the side of caution.

Don't make me take you into the woods for a few days...:spy:

If you are moving any computer around a lot ^^^ is well worth the investment.
On a laptop, it has been my experience that a hdd failing is most frequent besides battery/power adapters. Main due to moving the laptop while it is still on.

Mike, typically your work computer you have little control over. Aka budget/cost to obtain. If your machine is mission critical and is not a server, then you should be running a workstation. Otherwise, Elite class machines should suffice for an 8 hour work day.

    Okay Gents,

So I am looking for a couple new places to go camping this year. I need some suggestions. Activities at said campground would be cool but not necessary. (hiking, etc). I'll have the RTT so as long as I can pull into my spot and open up shop Ill be golden. I would say New Hampshire, Vermont (which is usually where we go) or southern Maine would be the target area. I think that is it for important stuff.

    Okay go.
