I had the Aeroturbine 2525xl. It droned really bad only while slowing down in 3rd gear of my auto tran. Once I cut the tail piece off just after the axel on the down turn the drone went away. Kinda wish I still had it but the highway rumble over an hour with my cap on was to much. My ears would be ringing after a 3 hour trip.

Mine was cut out and put back in the same location as the stock muffler.

I just changed my oil and installed my Fumoto valve. I will keep the old OEM plug and some (more) extra oil in the storage box just incase

Definitely not the valves, I was able to rule them out early because I could get to them easily through the access panel. Turns out, it was water getting around the tub and leaking through the floor. I pulled off the bottom row of tile, removed all the caulking and have it all drying. I'll replace them all, caulk everything and patch the ceiling. Turned out to not be as bad as I was originally thinking.

    Argh!
I went in to see about getting a new cell phone. Turns out my old plan had expired forever ago and I've just been paying month-by-month. My old plan cost me $35 a month for no data and no texting and 200 minutes. Needless to say, pretty Sh*tty, but it suited my needs. I ended up switching to a new plan, with 200 minutes of talk, unlimited texting and 2G of data for $30 a month. So Yay for more stuff for less money, but I got a Samsung Galaxy for a penny and I don't know how to use it.
The girlfriend keeps laughing at me because I'm reading the manual and I keep kicking myself back to the home screen rather than doing what I want to do. So I'm taking a break from trying to figure it out before my brand new phone meets the wall.

I switched to a galaxy after only having flip phones for ever. My phone before my current one was my first phone I owned which was the original Motorola razor. It took me a while to figure out the galaxy. Almost a year later and I'm still figuring it out...

    Well that doesn't bode well...
    I've had exactly two cell phones since 2001;
    A Motorola
    [IMG]
Which I used until they switched to digital signal and it stopped working, and the Samsung I managed to lose someplace this week (I suspect at the bar I had my party at, though they say that nobody turned in a phone and I can't imagine anyone wanting to steal that thing!).

Do you guys use the recommended oil viscosity 5w/30 (per the oil cap) year round or do you swing it up for winter and summer

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I stay with it all year long. I use either Pennzoil PP or Mobil 1.

I do the same thing. I have some friends that switch based on the season. I can't put that much thought into it. I buy my oil based on sales not the weather

Same, even though it doesn't call for it. I usually use the Mobil 1 EP oil and filter, usually go about 12k between changes even though it says it's good for 15k. No need to overthink based on seasons

Its like $45 dollars for the M1 EP oil/filter. It's on sale like once a month. Ends up being less since the oil change interval is like 3 times the normal interval.

Dave, have you been out on the trails, any snow there or just a ton of mud?

I wouldn't think that the Tacoma engines operate hard enough that an oil viscosity change would be warranted.

I suppose you could run something like a Rotella T 15w-40 or something like that to get the hotter end protection, but anything quality shouldn't be a huge issue.

I run 0w-30 in my Subaru (German Castrol Syntec) and have 30K worth of good used oil analysis printouts from Blackstone Labs to back it up.

I always ran Shell Rotella 15W40 in my '99, but I've jumped ship to synthetic 5w30 in the new truck. Either Castrol or Mobil 1 so far.

I got my razor blades today from Amazon. I am just waiting on the razor now. I never thought I would be excited to shave but I am.
