That's what I've got now. My house doesn't have a door between the house and garage because whomever designed the addition was a few bricks short. I just don't necessarily want to leave through the back of the house, go through the back of the garage, open the door, back out my truck go back in and close it. I know it's just me being lazy, but such is life. The other thing is right now the side of the garage the truck is on doesn't go up as high at the moment so with the larger tires my lights won't clear.

First world problems, I'm well aware.

I mean a handle on the front of the door. Lift from outside. Not inside

Have one of those, but I still need to unlock from the inside. The previous owners never gave me the keys to the garage door (I'm sure they probably don't even have them). I will eventually get the doors re-keyed, but in the short term it doesn't help me.

It's amazing how much goes wrong when you move into a house. You think you've got everything under control and then your oil tank leaks...

Yup. Just when I started getting caught up on stuff after 5 yrs, my furnace blew. Sucked, at least it happened right when I got my tax return.

Thanks for the idea. I'm looking into either doing that or trying Plastidip. Has anyone done this with their wheels? Can it be done with a matte finish or is it glossy?

    I hear that.
Our house has a 14'X16' addition built on posts, and apparently whoever set the posts didn't get them below the frost line (or we had an exceptional amount of frost this year) because the outer side of the addition lifted probably 2 inches this winter. So now once the ground is thawed out I've got to jack the addition up, crib it, reset/repour the posts, and then set it back down. I'm still debating in my head if I want to reinstall the posts with those adjustable steel lally columns rather than regular 4x4's. On the one hand, if I set the posts correctly I shouldn't have to adjust anything again. On the other hand, if I don't set the posts correctly and they settle over time it's a lot easier to turn the screw on the lally column than it is to jack the addition and cut a new 4x4...

Plus I'll have to ask the building inspector for our town if permanently installed lally columns meet our building code or not, haha!

That sucks! At least it's warming up now so it's not a rush or does that heat your hot water also?

I didn't use Plastidip, I used the duplicolor wheel paint. Around here there are quite a few options with color and finish.

However, I do know that plastidip comes in matte, gloss, pearl and flake effects. I think the basic color is one can and the 'effects' are in others. From what I understand darker colors are more appreciated because the rubberized finish is somewhat odd to clean - ie darker won't show brake dust so you wouldn't have to clean it, etc...

Cup 5?! How the hell do you sleep at night?
I typically have a cup at home and then a cup when I get to the office. Any more than that and I'm tossing and turning all night.

Plus the girlfriend wants to murder me because I'm restless all evening. More so than usual.

We raked ours last fall and stuffed them into the compost. It's amazing how much the snow crushes those suckers down; we went from a six-foot pile to one that's about eighteen inches deep.
