The cool thing about F1 is that unless they are going like 100 they can't really turn. They need downforce to turn effectively, go too slow and they just about plow straight

 

Not comparing or contrasting, just saying that for me they fit into the same category of "boring television"

 

Have you seen that episode of top gear when hammond drives a F1, pretty crazy

I was fortunate, I learned to drive a clutch on a tractor where the possibility of stalling is relatively low. By the time I got to a truck, it was a breeze, just a lot more wheel spin

 

Behind the Monastery in Cumberland, RI. There are a bunch of trails back there. (non big enough for wheeling)

 

I learned on a late 80's Ranger with a bad clutch.

 

I also learned clutch on a tractor, a 1957 Ford 640, around 8 or so. But, once I'd gotten the hang of the tractor my dad moved me right into the Jeep CJ5, which gave me a lot more trouble. That's the one that I did all the stalling in.

 

Anyone interested in going to this Saturday? I might go.
