Does anyone have any shop or know anyone around the Boston area that will install my extended rear brake lines? I just got shut down by three shops around here.

Maybe try the Good News Garage in Cambridge? It's owned by the Car Talk guys; with 4 PhD's between them they should be able to figure it out. :D

Why? Have you tried to do it yourself? It's relatively easy, at least mine was.

On my 1st gen it was really easy, not sure how the second gens are though. Just make sure you have the correct flare nut wrenches, and to wire brush the treads/connections and then spray with pb blaster..

I was told they didn't want to do it because it wasn't "their" parts and they didn't want to do it because they were longer then stock. :frusty:Bunch of BS.

Well that's just craptacular. I'll let the second gen guys chime in on how it went for them.

I think you should let Sloth do it. He's an engineer, and you can probably convince him to do it for a case of Sam Adam's Chocolate Cherry Bock:D

I never did mine but looked into the process. It didn't seem like anything overly difficult. Where you connect the lines to the hard lines coming from the front of the truck seems like a little bit of a challenge to get to (just tucked up tight into the frame channel) but otherwise it seemed like a very straight forward process.

I had mine done at Sullivan tire in stoughton. Guy said "ya no problem should only take a hour" 3 hours later they finished . Cost me $60 .
You can put your springs on first if you want . I just wouldn't flex the suspension offroad till you get the longer line on. That's what I did .

Just called sullivan tire and just got shut down "they don't want to install after market parts" Maybe I shouldn't tell them they're aftermarket

Yuck... looks like you drained your spent engine oil into a pint glass except the oil probably tastes better.

Typically, the best beers are the ones you can't see through.
One of the local pubs brews a Coal Porter that you can't even see my 37 lumen Maglight LED Solitaire through. And it's excellent.

Yeah, but Puggles probably drinks Bud Light or something equally watery and unpleasant...
