Thanks, think I have 24" x 96" x 3/8", but I have to check too.
It's not a project I'll be doing in the immediate future,
so I'll keep an eye on it, as you progress.
The friggin' list just keeps gettin' longer.
'spose the angle and distance from front edge to angle would be the other critical info.
Like the idea and it looks like a good basic functional design.

also another question what about a lift, I want to do a 3 inch lift is that going to void anything, sorry bout all the questions, I never had a brand brand new truck before

 

This falls under the same response as the CAI--unless there is clear evidence of negligence as a part of installing and/or using the lift the dealer can't void your warranty. What you may run into is having to find an inspection shop that won't hassle you about your rig's new height

 

In RI, you can do up to a 4" suspension lift for a truck under 9000lbs. No max frame height.

In MA, 4x4 vehicles have a maximum suspension lift limit based on this equation: (wheelbase x wheel track) / 2200. Also no max frame height.

In CT, you can do up to a 4" suspension lift, but the geometry must remain stock.

CT only has emissions tests on vehicles you already own and your exempt for the first several years. If you were to buy a vehicle from out of state you may have to go through a safety inspection at the DMV. I say may because last time I went to register my classic that was from PA, they only checked the VIN. Several years prior registering another car required a safety inspection. That all being said, the law is that you have to meet all regulations and the DMV can inspect at any time. They usually only look at over the road trucks. I guess if you lift it sky high, put lights under it, blacken out the windows, etc... and get pulled over by a cop; you could have to get an inspection.

 

Anyone on here? Seen at the bike path in Woonsocket.

 

Yea I figured that, they won't make a big fuss bout it cuz it's only going to be a 3 inch lift, my friend got pulled over and he had to go to dmv for inspection
