Found another bike, owned by a close friend.

1985 Kawasaki LTD 700 with low mileage and no damage. Needs a new battery, carb cleaning, and maybe some tires. He wants $500 for it, so I'm getting that as a "project" ;)

    I'm excited

Hahaha the electronics are solid. He had it on the road but stored it in his barn when his most recent kid was born I think

Damn man, that sucks to hear! I was hoping you'd get it working well, that's a nice lift!

I'd still be weary of something that old. Even if everything worked fine, at 30 years old, wires get brittle and don't take much to crack and cause a short. Good luck to you, hopefully this one works out.

Very true but there's less to this bike than there was with the CBR, so I'm gonna restore it. Probably replace wiring and such. Get it perfect!

    Thanks man :)

Haha I know. Thanks man! Hopefully gonna snag it within the month

I am definitely going to miss the ride quality for sure. The OME's are very smooth. Toyota should take note because this truck rides like a dream on this setup. I am dreading the stock ride again. At least I can keep my SS brake lines and EBC yellows! FML

My drive line didn't take too well to my new rear leafs. I developed vibes that I couldn't get rid off. I was spending too much time and $$ trying to correct and not enjoying my truck. Rather than sending more $$ down the rat hole I am cutting bait. It pains me to do this because I LOVE the ride and the new look of my rig. If I were more of the mechanic type, I think I would have stuck it out longer, but I am paying a Toyota tech on the side to do the work.

Ouch! Sounds like you should trade for a 4Runner and not get the axle wrap and drive line vibes after lifting ;)

My friend might part with his 97 Limited. 4wd won't engage though. Might take it off his hands if it's not an expensive fix.
