Not going to lie, I really like driving my wife's 4runner. Then again, my truck squeaks, has no power and doesn't ride that great...

 

Still gonna grab em. I'm sick of my hella driving lights. I need fogs.

Meh, if I need power I'll run it out to 5k rpms or just throw it in low.

Also, my truck is now 12 years old with 135k + miles... hers is 3 years old with like 33k miles.

 

Buys a 4 cylinder and lifts it;

Complains about poor ride and lack of power.


I used to feel the same way when I had my '99. Loved borrowing the Blue Gumdrop because it rode so nice & quiet and seemed like it had so much more sack than my Tacoma.
Her car still rides better, but now.... POWERRRRR!!!!!

 

The wife's car is a 4Runner but I don't think she'll appreciate me lifting it. I wouldn't mind driving it except for all that body roll.......my word.

 

Haha. I have this condition where any vehicle I purchase can not stay practical for extended periods of time. In all honesty the power is fine. It's not winning any races, but with a manual I can keep it where I want it in the power band. And I don't ever have to down shift on the highway so it's not that bad.

 

Needs an LSX swap for a little extra oomph!

If you had xreas on the truck (stock on a sport or optional on a limited) your experience with the stock suspension would be much different.

Driving my dad's non xreas versus mine was night and day.

With good shocks and springs, it'll ride amazingly with minimal body roll

 

That xreas is just more expensive crap to break.

 

Come take mine for a spin . It's got so much body roll it's scary. But it's flexes very very well .

 

The xreas was seriously incredible for on-road handling

 

Every mini-van should have it
