Haha I'm sure he could have but he was getting pissy and agitated having my hunk of jap steel riding his ass the whole way. He kept trying to pull away but would hit the bitch pedal going in to a lot of the corners, when you should really let off the gas and get back on it coming off the curve. I know how to race truck

Did they need it, or just did it because?

Cool. Just think of how many bugs he's already eaten around your house.

I'd ask why you were riding his ass, but your plates say "Massachusetts" on them, so I don't need to bother.

They needed it. I went wheeling a couple of weeks ago and a couple of days later I started hearing some grinding. I thought they were dirty so Tuesday night I took them apart to clean them up only to see they wore right through the shoes on both sides. I changed the shoes and got new drums all through toyota for $230.

Saw this one pop up on my Facebook this morning. Probably old news, but it's damn impressive. It's a commercial for Gilette, but the one-handed grab is still pretty sweet.

Makes sense, you do use your truck to tow. I hate doing drums. Always a pita

X2. Even with the right tools, getting the springs hooked without slipping and destroying your knuckles is always a challenge.

Damn, mine still looked new at 100k miles. I didn't have the brake-operated LSD you do though, I'll bet that really chews up the rears.
Old news, it was staged for the commercial and I'm pretty sure some camera trickery was involved.

Yea they are not fun to do and on the ground esp because you are always leaning over. I just found this this morning http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/maintenance/rearbrakes/ It's a good write up on how to change them out.

Mike the LSD/VSC might have a little to do with it but I would bet it's more from the towing and wheeling I do.

I tore down my upstairs bathroom not too long ago and it had a cast iron tub - the sledge hammer certainly did a number on it. All I can say is ear plugs were necessary, and draping a wet towel on the inside was a life saver; caught all the little shards of porcelin before they flew all over the place.

I got like $50 at the metal scrap yard for one tub in hundreds of pieces too. Payed for all the new drywall.

That's what I meant, wheeling probably did you in because your rear brakes are always grabbing to simulate a limited slip. EVen still, 94k miles is a good run for a set of brakes. Mine looking new at 100k miles probably means they weren't adjusted very well.

Dog was going crazy this morning. I guess it's finally warm enough for the snapping turtles to move from the lake to their nesting site.

Ive seen a couple of them in the last week or 2 crossing roads near my work. They seem pretty big this year.

Every year they migrate from the lake behind my house to a small stream across from my house to nest. Pretty cool actually, we'll see one or two a day going through the yard/driveway. And ya, they are pretty big. This was a smaller one, she'll read maybe only ~18" diameter. There are some monsters back there, not uncommon to see them with 2.5-3' diameter shells. Every few days I usually help one or two across the street so they don't get crushed.

This guy was from like 2 years ago, hard to tell but he was well over 2' diameter. 2012-06-07_17-45-11_49_6fcb2fa8bbb49448015f026167a29999c2ebf145.jpg
