Ya, 33's would look so much better. But being reasonable i have a 4cyl, and even though it's got 4:30's 33's would probably not be that much fun on the highway. And the BFG AT is a damn old tire/ tread compound design. Even though the 33x10.5's have the severe snow service rating, they are such a hard compound I can't imagine they are anything other than hockey pucks in icy conditions. the grabbers are a newer silica based compound, much softer and presumably better in icy conditions.

Truck looks ok with 31's, not terrible not great. They are aggressive, but less so than my current tires so maybe they will be a little quieter.

Weight wise they are the same my current tire (~43lb/ tire) They are also less aggressive so presumably mpg would be equivalent. Then again I don't expect great mpg out of it, it's a truck and i've made it about as aerodynamic as a brick wall.

I like the Coopers I have. They seem to do good in everything. They are heavy though. my old Terra Grapplers were pretty good too, lighter, but less aggressive.

That is one thing I do really like about my house. When I redid the kitchen, I had a propane line installed for the oven / cooktop and dryer. I like being able to cook without power. I also have a propane generator (unfortunately not tied into the big bottle for the house) that is sized to run the boiler for heat / hot water and the fridge.

I was looking really hard at the ST MAXX. They look badass, but @ 180 a tire and heavy, like 48-49lbs for 31x10.5 not as practicle and not sure i can justify looking badass vs a $53/tire difference + the grabbers have a $50 rebate (savings of $262 before install)...

They make them in a lot more sizes now. Think they had only 8 when I ordered mine.

Awesome, congrats. That's great. I took a few grad classes up there. Not too bad a campus, but it was a PITA to get around due to construction on that bridge over the river.

I thought you had already been accepted?

Congrats either way, I just thought you were excited last month because you were accepted. I mean, no harm in celebrating twice, I was just a little confused :)

The bridge over the river Kwai has been completed so it's not bad.

    Thanks man!

Nah they accepted my application and said I had a 99% chance, which I misinterpreted. Now today I got a green check mark, which is the totally legit acceptance!

This rain is killing me. I am off today and wanted to clean my cover and get some pics of it. Then start the install of my new to me best top softopper.

What, are you going to melt or something if you get a little wet?

The rain does suck. On a positive note I got TFT down to $132/ tire + $22/tire for mount, balance, alignment. Not too bad seeing as Tire Rack distribution center is ~1.25hrs away, so factoring in my time + gas + cost to mount, balance, align somewhere it's probably about a wash. Not bad.
