Come on up anytime . The range is packed on the weekends . (Public) I go during the week and I'm usually the only one there . I'm trying to find a club to join that has outdoor shooting . Indoor is terrible . Wish I had more property .

 

I am in the same boat....my wife wanted a new handgun so I asked her which one she wanted.....and I quote..."get me the Judge"....followed by "and metric F-ton of ammo"

 

Hm.
It's been a couple of years since I hunted the Waterville area (2010-ish), so I'm not sure on the hot spots anymore. I always had decent luck hunting between Pattee Pond and the Garland Road. There was an area that had been cut over where my buddy and I almost always saw deer. They usually didn't have horns , but they were there.

Not sure if it's gotten crowded or not; but it's my best suggestion for that area.

 

Thanks man, will have to do a bit of recon up there....I would bring him down here but it is slim pickings in my neck of the woods. There is one spot in Sunderland, MA but his heart isn't the strongest and he could not make the trek

 

Morning all. Just landed in st louis. Hot as balls here and I had to get up at 2 to fly out of Portland at 6 am. Fun times

 

Yeah, we hunted that area when I had a friend who lived in Winslow. He moved to Belgrade and I haven't hunted it since, but he pulled a 4 point buck out of there on year, and I got a 4 pointer the year before. I forget what his weighed, but mine was just under 150lbs.

That sucks, you couldn't have flown out of Logan or Green?

 

I should have, I wasn't thinking and since we were up in Maine most of the summer I had been flying out of Portland. Forgot I had a wedding this past weekend. Should have booked out of Logan.

On the plus side we were able to hop on an earlier flight from dc to st louis, so we had some extra time and went to the arch

 

He probably had to pick something up at the office first?
