What, that little slice? How deep is it? Looks superficial.

Got a crapton of pics from our trip to the PNW but cant figure out how to upload them ftom my damn smartyphone, haha!
We rented a 'Stang and drove the Cascade Loop. Somebody with a warped sense of scale built everything out here. The trees are huge and the mountains are staggering. Two nights ago we stayed in a town that has a lake that's 1500 feet deep.

Well I pulled the radio fuse, waited a few minutes and put it back in and all is fine...
My only guess is when they plugged in the ODB to reset the service light they had a static charge and the discharge irritated the radio...I know they used an ODB to reset it because the little cover was off it under the hood pop lever in the truck. His insistence that the didn't do ANYTHING electrical was what irritated me because obviously they hooked up to the computer and scanned/reset.

Thats weird because you can reset the light by the odometer and the key. No reason to hook up to the OBD II port.

Seth, you were asking about the Avec lights. Someone actually asked if they were IPF rated, here's the response:
I couldn't find on their website where they say which ones have which rating though...

Good info thanks. I think something like that is pretty important info v for areas like the northeast with so much rain, snow, chemicals, etc...

Yeah, I agree. My test is usually taking it through a high pressure touchless carwash :D If they survive that, I know I'm usually good to go. That was my 'test' after the headlight mod to make sure they were sealed up tight. One set of my Avecs will be mounted unprotected, up front and low to the ground so they'll eat a lot of crap this winter. We'll see how they do. The light bar will be higher and behind the grille so I don't expect any issues with that one.

Let me know how the tint you put on them looks. That's a pretty good route to go over rigid if it works out. The yellow lens/tint is pretty key in the snow/rain/fog

Very true but probably easier in theory than remembering the trick for every vehicle they service..
