That is unusual cause most try and get you to sign up for a year of treatment or drag it out to keep you coming back. Most doctors, therepist and good crackers will tell you the majority of back issues start in our front. We need to support ourselves with a good core. Lisa is a therapist and would start out with doing an evaluation and then some stretching. After that you move into strengthening and upkeep. You see a therapist and they give you homework to do so you basicly are slowly working them out of the situation not relying on them

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I used to crack my neck all the time (by just tilting my head - not by using my hands, that's gross). Seemed like all my stress was always carried there and always felt much better after it cracked. I stopped doing it because I thought it was bad for me but it only made it worse because now I have the pain but my neck and back won't loosen up enough for me to crack it and relieve the pain. :(

Anyone used Tint Man in Monroe, 163 Main Street Monroe, CT 06468 - tel. 1 203 261-0248? He quoted me $100 for both front windows which Toyota left clear.

Driving for a living has shown me both sides of this.....The very GOOD ( I still drive ;) ) and the quack-quack mixed with heavy narcotics :stirthepot:

My 1st time was forced, either go under the knife or see the "Kracker"

Kracker saved my business and career.:) Two visits too put me "back together" and then monthly "aligns" for a year gave me back my freedom of self-employment PLUS a clean DOT card ( back surgeries must be listed;Chiro's do NOT) ..

2nd visit, again forced by an "oops" was pills.constant X-rays and an F-O from me....Fought like he!! for another Doc and recieved much better results..

Their regiments seem tedious BUT I am 53 and still drive"Large-cars" for a living..

Rob, Connie goes to one religiously for all her aches & pains of grandmother/athlete hood and it is worth every penny :D

Lesson; they DO WORK when you find the RIGHT ONE...

    This.

My wife has 2 degenerating discs in her back..L1 and L5. In the 10 years since starting chiro she's missed 2 days of work with it, versus before missing over a week per year in pain.

It's true that some of them do try to draw the visits out and milk you, but there's a lot of them out there who don't. The docs I worked for are the same ones I visit (there's two of them in the office). They've also got a pair of massage therapists, and one of the docs also has a degree in nutrition and training as a physical therapist.

I generally do a "maintenance visit" every six months or so, unless I have an injury. For instance, when I dislocated my shoulder I went in and they took an X-ray, I got adjusted, got a massage and had some electrical therapy done on the shoulder. They gave me a set of stretches to do and icing instructions. I went back for a followup adjustment a week later, and a second followup a month after that, and haven't had to go back since then.

Morning all. Took yesterday off since the wife was off. Now she's gone all week, so it's just me and the baby:eek:

My GF is gone for the rest of the week as well. But I don't have a kid, so I'm just batchin' it. Burgers & steak on the grill w/sauteed mushrooms for dinner for the rest of the week! :yay:

It's not that bad, she's at daycare and I'm confidant they are competent to take care of her during the day. Me on the other hand....

    Just kidding.

It'll be pulled pork most of the week for me. Made a 7lb shoulder in the cast iron skillet this weekend song with some home made bbq sauce

Good on your gf for getting a nice job but, on a personal note, fuck those guys, the company that runs Tough Mudder is a scam. They have like an D rating at the BBB, LOTS of complaints but because they're a 'charity', it doesn't get publicized. I won't participate in any more of their events, Spartan races from here on out for me

Ever tried cooking it in root beer with an onion? Mucho Awesome-o.

    X2.

Except I could care less about running with a bunch of other a-holes anyway. I don't like people much; the last thing I want to do is run an obstacle course with a bunch of them in my way.

Lol she's getting $15 an hour and 25 paid days off. She don't care!

Only issue is she has to commute into NYC every few days.

Never heard about them being a scam

Scam probably isn't the right word but it's the nicest one I can come up with at the moment :)

The idiots running the events are lucky they haven't gotten anyone killed yet. They've certainly come close several times though!

I thought that they'd had one last spring, back in April or May of 13? I remember reading about somebody drowning in Virginia (or maybe West Virginia), I think...

Possibly. I don't recall but I've seen a ton of the horrible videos of accidents at their races and thought I was going to watch someone die on the course. It took the paramedics almost 10 minutes to show up and they didn't know how to use the med. equipment on their cart.

Yeah, seriously. It was one of the worst moments I've ever witnessed first hand. Some guy collapsed on the course, not on an obstacle, just during one of the long uphill sections. One of the guys on my team used to be an EMT so he went to work and the rest of us signalled to get help. My friend and another guy did compressions for almost 10 minutes before someone arrived on an ATV (and we were only about 1/4 mile from the last check point), and when they did come with the de-fib, neither of the 2 guys knew how to use it. My friend had to run their machine and get the guy back to life. I honestly didn't think the guy was going to make it, his face turned gray, his lips were blue, I couldn't believe he came back.
