I wonder how Alex made out camping in the NJ woods. I imagine his 4Runner looks like this right about now.

We had a search party for the jersey devil. Didn't find him.

I found a 5.8 Durango Hemi that I raced. GoPro video will be uploaded soon hopefully!

Lmao pretty much. We did a cleanup today with a huge turnout. The photo above was our group, only a small chunk of the total turn out.

We filled two large dumpsters with trash found on the trails.

Still some lower back stiffness from wrenching in my driveway yesterday; must be getting old.
    Old hardware out:

    New hardware in:

New front leaves & hardware, front shocks, front brake pads & had the rotors turned.
Now the old leaves are playing counterweight.

Also got my new manual locking hubs installed, no help from the crappy installation instructions that came with them (they essentially said "take old hubs out, put new hubs in" in three languages). Ended up having to go to the Chilton's manual to realize that there was a snap ring buried in there that needed to go for the new hubs to fit properly. Driver's side took me close to an hour; passenger side took maybe 10 minutes.

    Happy Monday!

He would have been too embarrassed to have been found by so many station wagons, so he hid extra well to make sure you guys didn't find him. :D

Yeah, not bad as weekends go. Also got three garden beds pulled, weeded, and tilled in some manure and lawn clippings to decompose over the winter for next year. And I took my hunting rifle out to the range and confirmed that my new scope had held zero (it had) in preparation for opening day on Saturday.
    :infantry:

Edit: Also had the winter boots put back on the Tacoma
    [IMG]

And got one of my deer blinds set up. A little later than usual this year, but...:notsure:

Town Fair Tire is awesome. Just went in and asked for a price quote on pro comps extreme mt2 tires and the guy spent like 15 min calling everywhere to get me a good price. I told him i was going wheeling this weekend and was there because they had a faster shipping service. Then i told him i found a cheaper deal at 4wheelparts.com. Buy 3 get one free. He matched it. Plus free mount and balance scheduled for thursday. Awesome deal in my opinion cuz i dont have to wait 2 weeks for shipping and i dont have to screw around with mounting and balancing them myself. Plus it was cheaper in the end then 4wheelparts.com. WINNING!!!

First time I have ever heard something good out of a Town Fair Tire story. Nice work if it works out.

X2 Lately. They USED to be the best deal around by far. I have not had good luck with them at all in the last few years. I recently went into one and asked them to match a price that I showed them a online price on my phone. He came to $10 over the price plus I would have to pay tax and mount/bal. I kindly told him to fuck off. False advertising sucks!!!

Go out with a breaker bar and loosen the lugs, then torque them with an actual torque wrench. Chances are a couple of lugs will be WAY tight.

I haven't had awful experiences with TFT, my problem with them has always been the attitude of the people that work there...the "know it all" type. It feels like high school when I'm there...they're the "cool kids" that I'm not cool enough to talk to and it's just that "you're scum" attitude. It gets WAY worse if you show that you know anything.

I get that they're dealing with people all day that probably don't know anything that think they do, but if I'm being polite and pleasant and want something specific...don't give me attitude, just provide what I'm asking for.

When I purchased a wheel/tire set for my Accord, I asked for a specific size that was different than what their "computer" said was the right size. I had to basically coerce them into ordering it for me. When I had my old Toyota I wanted tires mounted on my new wheels and they wouldn't do it without me signing a waiver basically stating they could damage my wheels and it would be my fault.

Haha maybe its just a mass thing then. The guys in portsmouth, nh have always been nice. I went in and told them exactly what i was looking for. Pointed to my truck in the parking lot and they said yeah man no problem. We can get a quote for you right now. I told them i was suppose to go wheeling this weekend and he said the latest i could have the tires on was thursday. I said perfect lets make it happen.

I hate my local TFT with a passion. I asked for a simple price match on tires without an install and they said they only price match the tires installed on the vehicle. However I know that their service differs by location, I went to one off cape and the guy was bending over backwards.

Discount tire direct price beats and they are very good to deal with. I ended up getting the tires I wanted for $40 less apiece shipped to my front door. Install cost me a a couple hours helping a friend move furniture.

Of course, Detroit at least won their game, rather than losing in a spectacular fashion.
