Must be an issue with TW changing quotes or something...

Same to you! Hopefully we actually get some trick or treaters this year. Last couple years were pretty scarce.

Same here. The only trick or treaters we get are the GF's nephews. We decorate, and there's kids that live on our road, but two years running none of them have actually come and rang the doorbell.

Yeah, but how many miles are there between houses up where you live?

Heh. Not far; less than a mile. I don't know as it's the mileage so much as the hill; it's pretty steep and the local kids don't walk up or down it any more than they have to.
Plus there's a long street in one of the nicer neighborhoods downtown that does a huge Halloween thing every year. The whole street gets decorated and the police block off both ends and all the side streets, and I think that most of the parents pack their kids up and take them down there.

That's what my parents did where I grew up. We had a few houses immediatly next to us, then they really started to spread out. So, our parents packed us up, drove us into town and dropped us off.

I haven't seen a single kid in the 10 years I've been at my house. Mike and Billy can vouch that my street is too spread out to be ideal for that stuff

I can't believe tomorrow's opening day of Deer Season. The only thing I've done is sight the gun and set up my blind. Still haven't found half of my gear. The GF rearranged the storage room downstairs this summer and all of my hunting gear went from being stored together to being stored in six different totes.

    Women's logic :der:

You can blame the layout of your street but I'm guessing word of naked cannonballs is keeping kids away from your house
That's like one of those oxymoron things, isn't it?

Is there such a thing as weather stripping lube? It's making noise like I have a bunch of styrofoam blocks rubbing each other in the cab with me.

We used to use silicone spray at the vw dealer and a silicone lube at the honda dealer. Now at the house I just use a spray for convenience

Was that for the weatherstripping or to prep the customers before they got their repair bill?

Could be. Last night I felt like only a moron on Oxy could find the patterns in how she's got my stuff stored now, lol.

I put silicone lubricant onto mine a couple of times a year to keep the doors from freezing shut during the winter. Not sure if it'd help your squeaky squeaky though.

I'll have to try the silicone stuff. Is it messy? I can see my kids getting covered in it.

Nope. I use the Liquid Wrench silicone spray lubricant. Once it dries it's just slippery, not goopy or slimy.

Edit: I usually spray it onto a shop rag and then wipe the rag over the door seals. That way I don't miss and spray my seat (or the steering wheel!) with it instead, haha!

I'll try it out. I'm guessing either Lowes or Autozone would carry this stuff.

Yes to both. Any parts store or hardware store that's worth a damn will have at least some brand of silicone dry lube.
