Sounds like you've got quite the thanksgiving feast planned there...

I won't be home for Thanksgiving. I think my girl's family is renting a place for a big Thanksgiving dinner.

Woohoo super slippery out already and no one knows how to drive, almost watched a prius drive into a guard rail

Same here, except I've got a lot of dry goods and I don't bother with collecting much for water. I have an old-style hand pump rigged up in the cellar for that, so I only keep about 50 gallons of potable water stored at any one time.

It's weird that those hard as nails low rolling resistance tires don't do well in snow/ice. Who would have thought....

Let me guess they were drive like 85mph too. For whatever whenever I see one of those stupid things they are always speeding

I was behind a Prius earlier. The guy driving must have though he was drag racing everyone. Quicker than I though it would be.

Did you stop watching right before they crashed?

Yeah, when I worked at a retail shop I always used to recommend winter tires for anyone with a Prius. They always used to bitch about the decrease in their gas mileage, but I always used to tell them that it was a lot cheaper than bodywork.

Maybe it's overkill but I run studded snows on all 4 corners on both the truck and wifey's Forester XT. "I find it gives me a calming feeling (NOT) when I know I can get around in the snow but am instead stuck in a line of traffic full of low profile, half worn, all season tire drivers clogging up the roads!!!"

I can't wait for the commute home from work...

I used to drive around campus during and after snow storms and offer to pull people out of their spots to save them having to shovel their way out. I was only driving a ZJ, but I got more than a couple of dates from impressed and grateful female coeds that way. Can't imagine how successful I would have been with a Tacoma :D

Snow isn't all that bad here. I don't have far to go to get to/from work. I'd hate to be on I-95 in this weather.

I watched a VW Bug stop halfway up a plowed road they couldn't climb and a Sentra go into a guardrail in front of me. They were doing 10 when it happened. I had to try to make my truck lose traction.

Seriously, folks. It's New England. Buy a vehicle that can handle the conditions.

Did you happen to be pushing the Pruis into the guard rail? I find that I have the urge to do so just about every time I'm behind one of those overgrown golf carts.

Wow, that's not much at all. We've got more than that here and it just started snowing about an hour ago.

    FTFY.
A Sentra and a VW are perfectly capable in the snow if the driver's halfway decent
