So in other news my dads car just did something awesome! Sounds like a machine gun. With a handy dandy camera on a stick I found that the chainguide on the left side broke. Its a 2006 ford mustang with 88k in a v6:rolleyes:

Seems to be a problem with all the ford v6's... I don't like how the new vehicles are cranking so much power out of smaller and smaller motors. It just makes them more prone to breaking IMO.

My buddy called me about my order and told me I needed that thing, so I just said do it. He was in the audio sales business at the time so he got me a decent price, plus my own fault in a way b/c I never told him what the stuff was going in so he didn't think of it..assumed it was for my 97 Olds Achieva which didn't have that stuff.

Yeah, I made the mistake of logging into the Firearms BS thread over the weekend and somebody'd linked to a sale that MidwayUSA was running for Aguila 9mm for $200 for 1000 rounds. Said I wasn't going to buy it because I'm trying to build up a cache of .45 right now, but the price was too good and I caved.

    Probably 85k, lol.

That's the one. I went over his house the other day and he said he had just got back from looking at the new Superdutys. I told him he was nuts because he never halls or tows anything that would warrant it. After talking to him for a bit, he was looking at them because he was board with his truck. I told him for only a few grand we can have his truck looking totally bad ass. Lift, bumper, lights and bamm it will look like a whole different truck. Better than the over 50K that he was gonna pay for a new truck!!! Now he want's me to try and find him a used plate bumper. I have to ask myself, why do I even bother sometimes?

MidwayUSA. There was a link in the Firearms BS thread over the weekend for a sale they were running on Aguila 9mm. I think it was $11 a box of 50 or $200 for 1000 rounds. 124gr FMJ's, so they're just plinkers, but still...couldn't pass it up for 20 cents a round for brass-cased (reloadable) ammo.

What would you guys do? I've installed an add a leaf and 5100s in the rear, and plan on doing the fronts sometime soon when im on vacation. I was planning on just settinf them at 2.5 and using my stock springs but the wife gave me the "ok" to spend some more money on the truck, should I buy some 884 coils to get the lift and set the 5100s at 0 or just go with my original plan of the 5100s at 2.5/stock springs and save a little more and buy sliders?

    Go big or go home!

    :stirthepot:

Seriously, though, how tall are you? And do you ever plan on loading/unloading anything over the bedrails?
Because I'm 5'7 and a big part of why I haven't lifted my truck yet is that I'm constantly loading/unloading things over the bed rails and if the truck was much taller I'd have to carry around a box to stand on so that I could reach into the bed.

Im 6'2", more when im wearing my redwing workboots, haha, plus i dont really do much loading over the bedsides. Im more wondering if its worth it to spend the extra money on the coils for the better ride.

I've never had the 884 but my 5100 and sport springs ride pretty nice . I have some extra springs laying around that Dave gave me awhile back if you want them .

Those sport springs only have like 60k miles on them before I went to the 885s. Which were stiff even on my DCLB set at 0. 883 or 884 would be much better then the 885. I can't say if it would be better then the sports/stock coils set at the 2.5.
