Mind if I tagged along too? I haven't been to gremlins in a while, and it would probably be a good place to have some fun in my stocker.

EDIT: Wasn't it up for sale last year? Any word on that? I haven't been keeping up with the NEA dealings very much lately.

Does Rich still wheel with NTC? I think he has a greenish YJ, I met him at fall crawl a few years ago, he's a riot.

Rich is still pretty active in the club. He was one of the five founding members. What club do you belong to?

Probably close to a year ago. Satoshi is still in the works.

I'll definitely try to make it on my way back from the FJNE Rausch trip on the 15-16th

Despite the fact that I (thankfully) no longer own a Jeep I'm in Underground Jeeps. I haven't wheeled since I parted out my ZJ, but I still go on runs to ride along and see everyone.

Great start to the trip. Cab driver was 40 minutes late.

Supposed to get me at 6, and I called at 6:10 figuring it's kinda snowy- whatever, it's all good if you're almost here.

Got a call from the cabbie at 6:20 "I'll be there in 10 minutes there was a miscommunication of when we were supposed to get you" derrrr

Then he shows up at 6:40. Hope I don't miss my plane.

I usually just drive myself to the airport and pay for parking. Of course, I'm almost an hour from the airport, so even though Portland's rate for parking is $12 a day, if I'm gone for less than two weeks the parking fee works out to less than what cab fare would be.

Boston parking rates are insane. If I fly out for more than a few days, you can stay at one of the hotels near the airport for the night before and they'll let you keep your car there for free while you're gone. It actually works out cheaper in the end and they give you a free ride to and from the airport.

    Ouch. That's crazy.

Mike, I did end up getting that Mosin yesterday. I talked the guy down to $180, which is a little steep for a Mosin, but it's in great shape. The numbers all match, and they're original, not restamps. Round receiver, though. The rifling looks like it's brand new (couldn't even get half of a bullet into the muzzle when I checked the fit) and the gun hasn't been counterbored. Plus it came with the bayonet, tool kit/oiler, sling, a case, 40 rounds of brass-cased Winchester hunting ammo, a handful of stripper clips, a bore snake (useless, as far as I'm concerned, but whatever), and a big can of Rem Oil.

So now I've got two spam cans of surplus ammo on order, haha!
