It will be a cold day in hell when I own a minivan. We're considering an SUV for my wife's next vehicle. She hates minivans also. They are roomy though, can't take that away from them.

I have three brothers and my parents got a 1999 chevrolet mark 3 conversion van when we were growing up. That thing was the tits.....

It came with a 13" TV in the ceiling and we would hook up the nintendo 64 for long road trips. When I got my license, it was bequeathed upon me and I respectfully named it the shaggin' wagon. I was the coolest kid at highschool when we would pile it full of people after class and :rasta:

Ah the good days. That said, unless minivans lose the soccer mom status symbol and get a complete redesign, I don't think I will be purchasing one anytime soon. SUV all the way. My wife and I just bought her a new Nissan Murano for when that time does come.

No one said you have to drive it. Let it be hers. Who care what she likes and doesn't like. This is the vehicle you are going to drive.

Has anyone had an issue with traction control, when using an on ramp or off ramp? I was getting on the highway the other day at about 30-40, it was dry conditions but the controller still kicked in. It has done it before probably 3 times

Meh, I convinced my wife that the Ferd was a good family vehicle :) We like to camp also so the truck will be the preferred method of travel since it tows the trailer. No way I'll be that guy with a minivan hooked to a camper with the bumper on the ground going 40 up hills because it has no balls. <Insert Jeremy Clarkson POWER>

There were quite a few threads about this over the last couple years. The first question anyone asks is, did you get the skid control reset for the taller tires? I never had traction control so I have no idea, but figured it might be a place for you to start.

Check your ABS sensors. The system runs off of them, so if one of them isn't reading because it's damaged/broken/covered with mud/has a poor electrical connection it can fritz out and kick the system on.

Next time I would confine the dog in your yard and call the dog catcher. Then sue the SOB owner for whatever your animals are worth.

Don't put the flyers in the mailboxes. Thats against federal law, instead put them on or in-between the doors on the house.

Wouldn't the ABS light be on full time if it was a bad sensor?

I can't believe they only fired the girl. That other guy obviously has some serious character flaws as well and that's great that the 3rd guy doesn't even work there!

I'm writing a brief letter that'll find its way into the mailboxes on the road along with copies of the state's laws regarding dogs running loose, the responsibilities of the owners for damages caused, and the rights of people to protect themselves and their property from dogs that are running loose. The letter basically outlines that I want to get along with people but am tired of losing my property because they aren't fulfilling their responsibilities as dog owners, that I'll be keeping track of whose dogs are running loose and that if their dog makes it onto the list then I'll be filing complaints with the animal control officer. It also mentions that I'll be holding owners responsible for any future losses caused by their dogs but that I hope that it won't be necessary to do so.
I ordered a game camera this morning and I'm going to set it up in the yard and use it to keep track of what dogs are coming into the yard and when. That way I'll be able to provide evidence to the animal control guy so it won't just be a 'my word vs theirs' for their dogs running around off-leash.
I'd really rather not have to take any more drastic measures since I'm a dog owner myself, but if I happen to be home when a dog does attack and kill a bird then all bets are off.

Yes . I broke my front drivers side sensor last year . ABS doesn't work and the light stays on full time

I think the ABS for our trucks is too sensitive.
