Guy I work with had his heat stop working last night too, but his didn't kick back on when he reset it. Sounds like he's got ice in the line somewhere, but he's home tinkering with it right now so hopefully he doesn't end up having to call the HVAC guy.

That sounds like a crappy system... So on top of the heat not working, it'll freeze out the house and put all your water pipes at risk also.

    Sucks about your boat, Billy.

    Morning all.

Billy Dan's thing happened to me last night, except it was my grandfather's boat. '64 Sears aluminum semi-v. Limb fell on the stern and crunched the port side pretty good. Going to see if I can get it repaired. Lots of sentimental value for me, I learned to fish in it, and it was my uncle's after my grandfather passed away. Then I got it after my uncle passed away. I was very close to both of them. Plus my grandfather bought it new in 1964, so its been in the family for 51 years.

On another note 99% sure I have a buyer for my truck. Just waiting for the money. Now I've got to decide what I want. Driven a few tundras, and they are sweet. Super roomy and comfy, gobs of power and dead dinosaur killing noises. Not sure I can get over the shear size of then for my needs though. Might look at some 1st gen d-cabs.

Any other vehicles you're considering other than the Tundra and a 1st gen double cab?

I'd like to stick to Toyota's. I've had very good luck with both my 92 and my current taco. I'd consider a second gen dcab or another 4runner. I just really like the size of the first gen. Think i could make a 1st gen dcab with a topper work space wise.

I would love another 4runner, but they're more than I want to spend. I'd like to keep it under 20k do I could pay mostly cash and have a very small loan.

It is good and bad. We won't die in a gas explosion or from Co poisoning but it gets cold and yes it does bring the pipes freezing into play. It is a Weil McLain high efficiency unit with electonic ignition

I hope you can get it fixed up. I will dig mine out after the adjuster looks at it. I am hoping that I can do something with it

A F150 would be nice or maybe a 4 door Wrangler.

Seth why not get a double cab 2nd gen? They are much bigger than the 1st gen but not gigantic like the tundra's

They are certainly an option, I just love the simplicity of the 1st gens.

Plus 1st gens with the same or less miles are significantly less pricewise than 2nd gens

I never said a Ford, just wondering what else was on the shopping list.
Are the 1st Gen double cabs set up better than the 2nd Gen double cabs inside? I hated that the 2nd gen rear seats wouldn't fold up so I could fit something oversized in the cab.
I can understand that, you'd just think there would be a fail-safe on the gas feed rather than kick on an exhaust fan and freeze out the house. What happens if you lose power and the exhaust fan can't kick on?

I could fit a 1st gen double cab in the back of my Tundra.
