It's funny how time does that. My first car, my Accord towards the end was driving me nuts with the little details (and I put a LOT of time/money into that car, including replacing quarter panels on a then 17 year old Honda to completely de-rust it) like it's inability to keep it from leaking water from pretty much any opening.

I ended up getting cut off on 93N near South Shore Plaza and the minivan in front of me locked up and I stuffed it, but sometimes I wish I still had it. It was the slowest thing on the road but man could it grip the corners.

Just bought the Pioneer AVH-X4700bs radio. 7" with front and rear camera ports, and a whole slew of other stuff. Happy belated birthday to me

Lol. Yeah, when I sold it I'd repaired the rockers and rear fenders 3 or 4 times, welded in new floorboards because it had Flinstoned on me, and had a shop weld in new rear shock mounts. The fuel pump used to randomly blow fuses so I always kept a supply of 10amp fuses in the truck. You'd be driving along and it'd just quit. But, since it didn't have power steering it wasn't a big deal. You'd just coast to the shoulder, pop a new fuse in, start her up, and go.
And then there was the time that it blew the clutch slave cylinder over two hours from home. I was too broke to get a tow truck, so I had to rev match my shifts for almost 100 miles, roll through stoplights/signs and bump start it with the key when I couldn't roll through.

But now what I remember the most was that it was a little tank in the snow, always started, and never left me stranded (thanks to a little mechanical creativity on my end now and then). Plus it was just a fun little truck to drive.

Long weekend! Motorcycle is at the shop getting tuned up for a new owner. Hopefully this thing sells quickly.

Laptop took a dump on Saturday also. This weekend will be a range day so I can officially take the POS out of it's misery. And make sure nothing can every be recovered from the hard drive, I think a slug through the drive will do the trick.

Nice weekend for it, too. I ended up getting a couple of the kayaks down from overhead in the garage and brought them down to the GF's parent's camp for the summer on Sunday.

    Bummer about the computer, though.

Fortunately guys truck is just about rust free. Only a few small surface rust spots. Frame and everything else is solid, no rot. But it did spend the majority of it's life down south. I think it had 90k miles on it when my uncle passed back in 05. It only has 117k on it right now. I used drive it in the winter when I had my track car and it never left me stranded. It's actually pretty fun to drive.

It's for security purposes, of course. But I can't wait to see what a slug will do to a laptop :D
