How was gremlins Rob? Wish I could have gone but had to go visit my dad, just had surgery and can't do much so he was bored out of his mind and driving my mom crazy

I know a few people that have really big campers and they brag about campgrounds that they park on concrete slabs

My parents just bought a bigger camper and they're finding out that most of the places they can fit into are like that. They're a little bummed about it but they should have looked into that before they bought the monster! Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a nice, level concrete slab to set the camper up on, I just want it to be in the middle of the woods :)

That sucks about your Dad. Hope he's Ok. The wheeling was fun. I just drove around not doing any of the obstacles because I had the little ones with me.

Yeesh. My idea of camping is usually taking the truck down a discontinued logging road until I find a pond/stream/river and room to pull off, then pitching a tent, lol.

    Sorry I don't remember.
These same people complain that the road around the campground is not paved. LOL

The one from the Maine backwoods roadtrip that someone posted on here?? That trip looked epic! I would rather do that on an ATV though.

Thanks, just cataracts surgery so nothing life threatening but he can't do much at all. Can't even bend over since it apparently puts pressure on the eye

You guys are talking about this one, right?
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...nd-i-broke-a-weak-point-on-our-trucks.344079/

It's worth the trip; they're pretty cool. And it's gorgeous scenery up that way, too.
Long-ass drive, though. I've only been to them once, because it's such a haul, lol.

Edit- Maybe we should set up an expedition for later this summer, lol.

I've been up that way before, I love upstate Maine. Even the drive isn't bad because there's no traffic and the scenery is so nice. We did a camping trip up in Jackman, ME a while back. It was beautiful, just really far away. I do want to plan a trip to Acadia again soon. That was one of my favorite trips.

Yeah, it is pretty up that way. But it's about 4.5-5 hours from my house to the trains (longer if you go through Jackman on the logging roads rather than taking I-95 North), so it's probably 7-7.5 hours from where you guys are.
But, it's only about 3 hours from Jackman, so if you make a weekend of it and stay there then it's a pretty easy trip.
