No I have clients down here that I have to see in person every couple weeks. But once they hire someone for ny/nj that should decrease

X3. Move the whole box. There were little screws on the bottom holding it to the winch. A lot of people put it either on top of the bumper or inside the engine compartment. Just need to extend the wires like John and Denis said.

 

Theres screws that hold the box and big copper bus bars that connect the solenoid to the winch motor.

 

It barely fit. But yeah now everything is exposed. I have to figure out where i can mount the plug so i can extend the wires to where i need them.

Put the whole box on top of the bumper.

Mine doesnt look like that. It has solid metal tabs connecting the box to the motor using studs and nuts. There are no wires coming out of the motor, just the box to the battery and to the plug.

 

Those are the bars that Erik was talking about. Erik, John or Denis one of you want to explain this better

 

Mine is mounted over the spool so i have wires coming out to the motor


On a side note i've been at work since 6 this morning and have to be back tomorrow at 7! wtf!

So here's the wiring diagram for your winch . You need to get some 2awg wire and replace the wires going from the inside of the control box to the winch . You can leave the plug on the box . And when you need to use the winch pop the hood ,plug it in close the hood . Or buy a in cab controls and use those .
