I'm taking a 'Learn to Hunt' course through Mass Wildlife tomorrow. I hope the rain and wind holds off because tomorrow is scouting so we'll be tromping through the woods most of the day.

I'm planning to sweep my chimneys out this weekend too. Plus I've got the bed off of the '84 because last weekend I ran new fuel lines and welded a patch onto one of the crossmembers on the back frame. I also extended the exhaust yesterday after work so it exits at the rear bumper rather than just behind the cab.
So this weekend while the bed's off I'm replacing the rear spring shackles because I noticed that they're pretty eaten away, and I'm going to paint the frame with some POR-15 while I've got easy access to it. And the bed itself needs a patch about the size of a lemon in front of one of the wheel wells, so I'll probably do that while I've got it off too. The rest of the bed is still amazingly solid (galvanized sheet metal for the win!), but it looks like somebody drilled a hole in it at some point and it rusted from there.
Plus I'm planning on changing the fuel and air filters, regapping the plugs, and repacking the front hubs and bearings.
And the Tacoma is getting an oil change and new air filters too, probably, if I've got the time. Glad I've got power out in the garage now so I can just turn the lights on when it gets dark and keep working, lol!

I've been reading about some, it looks like Johnsonville, ct should be easy to get to, abs the rockland prison camp. I'm going by myself so I didn't want to be hiking through creepy woods

Didn't somebody buy Johnsonville for a couple million dollars a little while ago? Like, the whole 'town'?
Think I remember reading something about that around this time last year...

Ah, I see. That's cool! Have fun!
I think I've mentioned it before, but maybe next summer we'll have to see about getting a bunch of TW-er's together to make a trip up to see the trains in the woods. I haven't been up since shortly after high school.

A guy on here did it last summer; I'll have to see if I can find the thread.

I remember reading that also, I don't recall if anyone bought it though but do remember someone posting up the whole town for sale.

I've been to the trains a lot of times on the sleds. It's probably a good 60 miles away from the B-52 site as the crow flies.

They're definitely close enough to each other that you can hit both in the same day, but it's a long ride between them (over 2 hours) because you're traveling logging roads the whole way

Between sites is probably actually faster on sleds than in trucks, lol.

Maybe. It's actually quite a haul on the sled from Greenville. If you know the lakes and they are in good shape then it's not bad but it's still 140 mile round trip from Greenville. The trains are really, really out there. I was actually amazed to hear you could drive there in a truck. On sleds the last 20 miles is serious boondocking over the lakes and through the woods to grandmas house and shit. Like single track paths. But the way you get there on sleds is obviously way different than in a truck.
