I only had manuals for years. The Tacoma is my first automatic since my Grand Cherokee, but honestly I don't mind it. Probably helps that every other vehicle in the fleet is a manual, but I have to admit that the slushbox is convenient for drinking my morning coffee. :notsure:

I'm so used to it that I did I have a hard time driving automatics now. I'll forget to put it in park and be trying to take the key out or something

Lol. I still do that. And if I'm panic-stopping I'll stomp on the imaginary clutch pedal, too.
I drive the other trucks often enough that I still default to most of the manual transmission habits.

Yup. As soon as Honda announced they were discontinuing them, too.
I remember I sat in one at Charlie's Honda in Augusta, the last year of production. Fit me like a glove. They were only asking 28K for it, too, because it was the end of the model year and they wanted to move it. Just couldn't afford it at the time because I'd just bought my first fixer-upper earlier that year and I was up to my eyeballs in renovation bills.

Kicked myself ever since, but I got a better return on the house than I'd ever have gotten on the car. :notsure:

400+ mile tank accomplished! And I managed to break the 24mpg glass ceiling, too! :woot: (barely)
Fuel light kicked on right when I pulled up to the pump, too. But it only took a little under 17 gallons before the pump shut off, so I'm assuming that the steep incline to pull into the station is to blame for the dummy light.

This is my buddies track car, thought you might like it. He races it at some private track in NY.

I actually just finished a painting of it recently for his office.
