You should hear it here sometime. A few years ago my wife swore I left the TV on upstairs. I knew I hadn't but just to shut her up looked.

A few nights later she called me over to the kitchen window and told me to listen. I heard what must have been a dozen of them yelping and howling. That weekend I walked into the area through the broken fence and not 60 seconds in I found the carcass of a huge deer.

Oh yeah, we have fisher cats too..

What is a Fisher cat??

 

It's a member of the weasel family.

My parents have fishers around their place too, and it's why they don't have chickens any more.

I hear a rooster pretty frequently too. Every morning, actually.

 

They're mean! You'd be hard pressed to find one, they're pretty elusive.

 

Yeah, they're nasty little buggers. The one that got into my parent's chicken coop slaughtered the whole flock.

 

Solution:

 

Fisher cats are nasty. We've got one behind our house. It is one of the most goddamned anything things ever when it starts making its shrieking baby noises in the middle of the night.

 

You guys hear about this, pretty ridiculous. Guy got stuck offroading somewhere in Walpole, had to get towed out and they not only totaled his jeep but are trying to stick him with a $48,000 bill

The supervisor charges $1,250 an hour??? I am in the wrong line of work for sure.

 

Looks like they absolutely destroyed the Jeep getting it out also. Hell, for a couple thousand they could have rented a bull dozer and dragged it out.

 

No kidding! I'd do it for $1,000/hr, maybe I should apply.

Damn. That's why you wheel with friends and recovery gear, and not on private property, lol.

Ya. That is pretty crazy, but pretty much anywhere you go down here is private property. Utilities know people are using their rights of way for 4wds/ atvs. They don't have the resources to stop it. However, they will press charges if you get stuck and are trespassing on their property.

I know the spot in ri has dive legal un-maitained town roads. But everything under the transmission lines/ over the gas line is trespassing unfortunately.

 

Sooo not sure if anyone is interested, but may need a little help doing a CV Axle and shocks all around. Picking the CV up this week and the shocks are on order. Let me know if anyone minds lending a helping hand. I'm in the Bedford NH area and never done a CV before.
