I have an electric blower. Free was a good price to pay and I really only use it around the edges..

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
We just got in. We go to my MIL's neighborhood. They are all ranch houses sitting on 1/4 acre lots so the houses are very close together. It seemed very dead compared to other years and my MIL still passed out all 12 bags that she had bought.

Your best bet is probably Civic/Corolla at that price point. You'll get a newer/lower mileage Focus/Cobalt, but with an older car, i'd trust Honda/Toyota. The only thing that stinks is a $1,000 Honda is going to be furioused out most likely, whereas a Corolla should have avoided that fate.

Well as they say in the car business "that's a great down payment. How do you plan on paying for the rest of the car?"

I see $2k straight 6 Cherokees on Craigslist here and there. Those last forever

Happy Halloweenie !!!!! Just a heads up to you local guys. Next week or so ill be putting a set of used ICON CO's up FS in the other thread. The regular length version, not the extended length one's. They have approx. 50k New England miles. Still ride nice but replacing since I am doing everything else on the front end. Adjusted @ just under 3" of lift currently. New owner could run them as is or send them out for recondition/ rebuild. I don't have time for that since its my DD. I'm not looking to make money just what they may be worth. What is a fair used price for these ?

Soon. Right now I'm an on site welder for a construction job here. It keeps me going all week and should keep me busy for the next year until it finishes. After this job I'll have enough put away to buy some nice equipment (CNC table, and other goodies) and maybe enough to start renting shop space and really get cracking. Then I'll be able to do more custom fab work, bumpers sliders, racks etc. But not much time outside of that to do anything with the truck or otherwise, so my weekends are welding stuff for myself. Small little jobs here and there for friends, but totherwise nothing much.

We just chopped down 12 trees in our yard.... What a difference. And so much firewood.

    Rack picture for attention... ( . )( . )

Posted up this in the WTB/FS thread, but figure I'll cross-post since it's a long shot, but does anyone here who's upgraded/upsized their wheels/tires have a leftover 1 or 2 stock sized (SR5/Off-Road/Sport) wheels and tires just kicking around they don't want anymore? My snow tires are stock sized and my spare is upsized and I wouldn't mind having a stock sized spare. I don't have any budget, but I could toss you a pizza as a thanks.

Bitch and a half to mount my RTT to, and the cross bars aren't strong enough to hold the RTT with two people in it.

When I used to landscape, we had great luck with Echo commercial grade stuff but that's probably expensive as hell.
Easy on the old man comment! I love having a cap.

Can you get the angle grinder in there to grind the bolt down flush with the back of the track? Only other option I see is to keep dosing it with penetrating lube and hope you get lucky or drill it out and tap the hole for a new bolt.

Her last car was a 99 Altima. It was rusting apart, and was developing mechanical issues. I think she paid $2k for it several years ago, and junked it for $600.

She's not working, so she needs something cheap. I used to have a Caddy, so I couldn't recommend that to her lol.

Here are few cars in RI that are cheap:

They are all Corollas, but you still need to look at them in person, as you never know with pictures.

For 2k you can probably get something 2000-2002. If she has kids in the car might want something a little safer

It does look good, but you would still have to look at it, because pictures still don't tell the whole story.

Of course. I never buy a car without looking it over, test driving first.

Looks nice. I'll show that to her so see if she's interested.

That actually looks in pretty decent shape, too. The quarters aren't rusting yet (at least in photos) which is starting to become rare for the 6th gen cars unfortunately. It also doesn't have the V6 which had all the transmission issues.
