I'd rather have had a buck, but I've always hunted meat and not trophys, so it doesn't really matter to me. It's just that Bucks typically have more meat than the does do, lol.


Nice looking six pointer. Did he say what it dressed out at? Looks like around 120-130?


Edit-looks like he placed his shot better than mine. I was shooting uphill and she was on the run, but I still held it a touch lower than I should have.

Off of what? The poly bed on the 2nd Gens? Painted steel like in a 1st gen?

I'd go with a heat gun and a set of these: (and a mask for the fumes, lol)
I've heard that bedliner is ridiculously difficult to get off once it's cured, though.

I've stripped a couple of cars with this stuff. Works wonders over anything else. You NEED gloves and safety glasses as it will burn if it gets on your skin. A fan on low blowing fume free air at you wouldn't hurt either - just try not to have it blow on the stripper as it will dry it out too fast. I would pour a bit into a container and use a cheap chip brush to apply. Cover with some 1 mil plastic to drive the solvent into the coating. Then use a shart putty knife or even a woodworking chisel at a shallow angle and scrape it right off. It works even better if the surface is warm - I would let the car sit in the summer sun for a bit and then apply the stripper. The paint would immediately bubble up. The stripper at HD just doesn't compare. FWIW, you can probably get it cheaper at an automotive paint supply jobber.

 

Hate it when the strippers dry out too fast.

Hey, just saying sounds like a pretty unique tool. Not sure the actual utility of it though.

 

Maybe the dry strippers use the sharting putty knife for something?

 

Now that you mention it, maybe the sharting putty knife is why the strippers are dry to begin with
