I like Meguiar's brand car wash. I used Mothers before but Since Rob told me to try Meg's, I haven't gone back. Mothers is good, Meg's is just better in my opinion.

We'll give the Meguires brand a try once I use up my gallon of turtle wax - I'm too cheap to toss it... Truck came out ok but really needs to be clay barred first. That ain't gonna happen right now as I just don't have the time. Next on to the wife's Forester XT. The gal keeps such a clean house, how can the car be as dirty as it is. There's literally little bits of horse shit on the rubber mats from my daughter's riding boots...

I want to try the Chemical Guys Maxi Suds at some point. I bought some for my father-in-law for Christmas with a Gilmour Foamaster, so I'll have to see what he thinks. I use Megs now, but I'd like to get something that foams more since I've got the Gilmour as well.

Too much money and time. In Scott's case I believe he had issues long before his fame.

Oh that sucks. I prefer the 4 pm games but I know you are not exactly in the same area as the rest of us in here. Stay safe brother, and can't wait to go wheeling with you again

Ain't nothing wrong with buying parts for a vehicle you don't have yet. Just ask the parts I still have for the Grom that I didn't end up buying haha

Looking into supplementing my pellet stove with oil as we have a baby coming and need a more even heat in the bedrooms.

Seems that a 10 month payment plan is a pretty decent option and easy to budget for. Anyone have any input to offer? For the last three years I have only used a pellet stove and have it down to a science. Never used oil but the times are a changing.

    Thanks!

Prices for oil are down but man I spent a ton last year. But if you have another heat source it might not be too bad

Depends on the market for oil. The 10 month option is probably the way to go, especially if they lock the price in. This yearp prices aren't too bad, but like 2 years ago oil was around $4.25-4.50/gal which was like butt rape since it was so cold we were going through 180gal/1.5 months. With the pellet stove to supplement you should be pretty good though.

Do you have a boiler or furnace? I heat with wood and basically use oil for the bedroom as the heat doesn't get here enough for the families satisfaction. What I did was split my formerly one zoned house into two. The bedrooms are on their own with a setback thermostat. The main part of the house is warmed by the stove and will only use oil when the fire dies down. Baseboard hot water can use electronically controlled zone valves for each zone. You only typically need one circulator pump with that set up.

If you have a forced air furnace, I've seen zone kits the use air bladders to seal off ducts that don't need heat. The bladders are connected to an air pump/plenum that is controlled by each thermostat. Air lines are run through the pipes from the plenum to the bags.

I remember those days of having little ones around in the winter. Had to have the house nice and warm for them but I was runnin around in shorts & tee shirts.

We built three years ago. 1300sqft. Open concept. Got a Fujitsu heat pump. 15RLS I think. $3000CDN. Worth every dime. AC is a bonus. I can't imagine not having it

Only good part is when oil went way up we had replaced the furnace the previous season, so the increased efficiency helped balance it. Hoping this is an easy year.

I have a faux fireplace for my living room that helps, plus installed a ceiling fan in the kitchen this summer.

I have a forced air furnace with the thermostat placed around a corner from the pellet stove. They never really interfere with each other but thinking I may look into somehow setting up zones for the upstairs and down stairs. Wish I could just keep burning pellets but in order to get the bedrooms warm enough, the living room would have to be 85

Google hot air zone control. There's a video from this old house that shows the air bladder system. There's also a company with a web site called ecoventsystems.com that is more of a DIY which replaces the registers. You just have to make sure it doesn't end up with a whistle. If you have access to the actual ducts, they make motorized dampers that go in the ducts which are then driven by the thermostat.
