First Generation is still my favorite, 2002-2006. Awesome cars and they were supercharged. Gotta love the whine !

Make sure you get the XT. Such an awesome sleeper toaster.
I almost bought an 06 JCW when I was looking for my first car. Fun to drive, but too small for a daily driver. Might consider one as a commuter because you can get an old S for short money.

Yeah, if you can find an 02-06 S or JCW, preferably an 06, with relatively low mileage and not more than 2 owners, that would be an awesome car to own and drive.

I'll see if I can find an 06 S. I'd still prefer an STI, WRX, or an 05-09 Legacy GT

I know I'm biased but I think you need one of these, Alex...

Evidence that I'm biased.... and yes, the Pepper White one has a vanity tag that says GO PATS while the Chili Red one says GOEAGLS.

I'm good, thank you John! Looking to pay my truck off first, then either get a commuter or a fun FI car.
Hell yeah! I prefer the 04-05 body style though. Get one of those and STI swap everything. Injectors, turbo, trans, struts, and the ECU. Fun car!
I'm not a fan of convertibles, but a coupe S would be cool. Make it rally style

Thanks for the advice. I seem to be finding many 09s in the $9k to $12k. But I am holding out for an 11 or newer. Lot's of non-S models around too but we both enjoy the kick of that S.

I hear you about the four door. It sure isn't growing on me. We drove a 2015 S 4dr and liked it but the exterior styling just doesn't appeal to us.

Pretty much, yeah. The only shopping I have left is for my best friend & his wife, but I won't see them until after New Year's anyway. I always wait on their gifts and take advantage of the post-holiday markdowns.
