Howdy--work ride SUCKED!

 

Not much snow in Braintree area

 

Morning. Roads in Hopkinton were still covered with snow on my way to the gym at 5am. When I got out they were mostly cleared.

 

Whatever that crap is that they spray on the roads in Framingham does a damn good job, but I can't help but think about the consequences later on of what it's going to do to my poor truck.
Roads I traveled out of town were fine, once I hit the town line they turned for the worst.

 

Seth how did you make out with the FJ

 

It's a salt spray and it is hell on your vehicle.

 

Parts are rolling in

 

Speaking of parts rolling in, the dirt bike is getting a makeover this winter. She'll be like new come spring. I have a new front fender (new sleeker design, not the big shovel that was on it) and a new fuel tank. I also got rid of the big mud guard hanging off the rear end so all I have left is the fender like an MX style bike. I'll get rid of the 90's color schemed stickers and she should look good!

Do some before and after pics

 

I should have done more 'before' pictures. I have one but it's after I started modifying it. The before picture I have, it already has a new exhaust and skid plate but that's it. The after picture will have the new plastics, tank, seat and no old decals so it'll still be a good comparison.

 

I got new tires... But they don't fit. They rub my spindle. Damn it

 

What size did you go with? 305's

 

Tried to break the nut free again sunday to no avail. Need a thicker breaker bar, the one I picked up from lowes was bending into a semi circle. Felt like all my effort was going into bending the bar and not to the damn nut.
