Well maybe you can get it done another way then. There is a TSB for the springs because they hit the gas tank. Maybe you can have them look again at how it's it bending in and it could it hit the gas tank???

 

I like CapeTaco's response, wheel the shit out of it, flex the piss out of the frame and open some of those holes up. Is there a time limit on the new frame recall? If not, it's just a matter of time until it does actually meet their moronic criteria for frame failure.

 

Overload that bitch with gravel until the frame snaps, bring it back, and say "think that's bigger than 10mm?"

 

Not overload, load to capacity. If you overload, they'll just tell you it's your problem.

Oh, I was thinking load it to capacity and bring it in with the frame bent and the truck planted firmly on the bump stops.

 

That might not be a bad idea; they'd probably fail it on the spot just so that they didn't have to put it up on a lift and walk around under it, lol.

 

I actually did notice today the plastic "skid plate" on the fuel tank is cracked and pieces breaking off from contact with the leaf spring... That might be a point of concern...

the time limit is March 25 the dude said, because of federal laws... And it's only a limited service campaign. Not a recall which is indefinite.
