People are mostly pretty good about it around here. Except for during the summer. NJ drivers seem like they're the worst about it, for some reason. There's always a ton of them around, and they tend to use both lanes as cruising lanes, and neither blinker.

Saturday's my birthday, so the GF and I are heading to Ayotte's junkyard up in Oxford to pick through some old Sweptlines for parts I can use on mine. I need a new set of vent windows for sure; the driver's side on mine is rusted so bad that the lever doesn't work, and the passenger side is almost as bad.

After that, though, it's anybody's guess. Maybe start some seeds for the garden, probably putter around in the yard or in the garage. :notsure:
Of course, it's only Wednesday today, so I'm sure something will come up, lol.

No surprise there, about NJ people... but I'll keep my comments to myself about them. And happy early birthday by the way!

Much like the no texting law. Seems in MA I hear more of the law recently but people still suck

NY does not put up with anywhere near the amount of roadway shenanigans that seems to be standard practice in MA. When I go back to NY to visit family, I usually drop 5-10 mph when I see the 'Welcome to New York' sign. They have really cracked down in that state, especially on speeding through work zones.

Oh yeah I drive much more lawfully in ny haha. State troopers are notorious for flying up behind you, rather than just sitting at a speed trap

    Thanks!

And my mom's originally from Jersey. She's a terrible driver. She knows it, though. She obeys all of the traffic laws conscientiously, she's just go no 'feel' for a car. As soon as I got my license she insisted that I do all of the driving and errands. She got stuck in my parent's driveway so many times when I was a kid that my dad traded in her Loyale wagon for a Dakota 4x4 just so that he wouldn't have to pull her up the driveway with the tractor when he got home every time it snowed.

All of you "snow birds" enjoying our SUNSHINE will know that rule....

Florida is making $$$$$ from ALL "control freaks" in the 3rd lane and with the "lane jumpers" ;).......no warnings, straight revenue..

Sadly , I would take Mass.,NH 95 commute over Florida's 75 ; Ft.Myers to Naples everyday.........traveling 36 miles one way with STUPID can be dangerous at 70-80 mph

Sadly ,it is the "ball parkers" down here for Spring Training.........you think traffic sucks at Fenway.....come down to a Twins or Sox game :rofl::fingerscrossed:

Did you notice that more recently, instead of one speed trap, they'll have 3 or 4 in a row? You used to pass one then know you were good for a while, now they'll set them up 3 or 4 turnarounds in a row. They're getting sneaky! I have a relative that's also a Trooper there so I try not to get in trouble although, when I was in college I got pulled by one of his guys.

Up here in the land of little traffic the left lane "sitters" are few and far between. Around here people get scared to be out in that lane because if they are out in the hammer lane they MUST be speeding. The mentality works for me.

Funny part is if someone does decide to set their cruise control and occupy the passing lane they are usually from the states or Quebec. Quebecers on a whole are very entitled drivers.

A friend of mine from Ohio was born in NJ. Back in the day I was back and forth to Ohio a few times a year and once she told me to just assume that every NY plated car had a gun in it....And to act accordingly. LOL.

The other thing that makes me crazy is tailgaters. I have never owned a vehicle like the FJ that seems to attract tailgating. I even think some try and draft me on the highway...LOL

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
Ever try flashing someone that is sitting in the left lane to move over? OMG they think you are the devil or something and when you go by they will speed up or flip you off or something

I feel that people in New England are a lot less courteous to motorcycles. I get tail gated all the time in traffic, I've even had stuff thrown at me. And I'm not one of the people that weaves in and out and pops wheelies

Or worse, they brake check you on the highway causing you to almost smack them. Yeah, I've had a few of those. People are assholes, plain and simple.

100%. I ride a Harley Sportster and cannot stand how close people get to me. The other thing I cannot stand is when I am behind someone and they flick out a cigarette butt.

Agreed, that's why I stopped riding to work once I had kids. I don't trust all the other dipshits and hotheads on the road. I almost get clipped in my truck at least once a week and there's no way you can miss that thing if you're even remotely looking in the direction you're traveling. I won't chance it on the bike. I just use it to putt around on the weekends which is sad because I really miss riding.

Back when I was escorting (oversized loads) from Saint John NB to Portland I saw one fo the worst accidents I have ever witnessed. A guy on a bike heading east on Rt 9 fell asleep and started to drift off the shoulder. That woke him up and he jerked the bike back into the lane and sideswiped the pick up that was passing him. We were first on scene and called 911. That was a very long day. The guy was doing a lone road trip from Boston to PEI. Had a map taped to the tank of his bike. The paramedics were awesome. They even explained to us why they left his helmet on because of brain swelling. I don't think I ever felt as sorry for someone. Big trip. New bike . All the right protective gear. Beautiful day. Always wondered what happened to him. That would have been ...ummm....Probably summer 2001 or 2002

I like alot of people drive 24 and 93 everyday and my two pet peeves are texting and the left lane sitters (as Noel called them). What in your head says it is ok to text while driving? What in your head says it is ok to text while driving in the left lane? What in your head says it is ok to sit in the left lane blocking traffic? Oh yeah I also hate the people that decide as I am coming up the ramp to block both lanes so I can't flow into traffic I have to merge behind them.
