New England B.S. Thread

I have about 60k miles on them now. I'm guessing they'll run another 8-10k miles before I'll replace them, probably a little more before they hit the wear bars but I never run my tires down that far.

 

No siping, does not look like a fun tire for New England.

No siping isn't that bad. Straight up ice isn't great but deep MTR treads eat slush and puddles without getting squirrelly.

 

Depends on the MTR. I ran the old Interco Super Swampers on a Nissan Hardbody for a while and it was downright SCARY when you hit puddles with that thing.

Yep. From back when I was working 2 jobs and still living at home. Had that big Nissan, the small red one in the back was my DD (for the mpg's), and the '73 Mercedes was an impulse buy. Had a huge retracting power moonroof and was a ton of fun to drive.

 

I think that was the most Maine driveway photo I have ever seen.

They've got a '57 Ford 600 series, but it's in good shape. Not rusty.

Barn's the same as the house; natural wood left to weather, just a fresh coat of Thompson's Waterseal every couple years.

 

In Maine its normal to have 6+ vehicles in your driveway. Down here I would be getting a call from town hall tell me to get rid of them, or build a high fence to hide them.

 

If they're all registered, who cares?f Is MA really that anal about how many cars somebody can own?

 

the state no the town yes. if they are registered you are ok to a point. you are allowed one unregistered mv or boat. and auto parts such as axles count as a vehicle. so a car and an extra axle is out of code. i have a few boats in my yard and only a couple are registered, never had a complaint but id argue you don't need to register sailboats.

 

Embarrassing admission of the day:

I really like how the new Mazda MX-5 RF looks and really would like one. It's still about 25 horsepower shy of where I think it should be, though.
