Sometimes I wish I could work from home, but I do think I'd be too easily distracted. Honestly, if I could just log into my work network from home, it would be nice to see what was going on and ease my mind about what's going on at the facility.

 

I couldn't work from home. I'd be taking too many naps.

Yeah, I've got every other Friday off, which is why I'm even on here. I work in R&D so everything I do is on-site.

 

I have been working from home so long now that I ask my dogs for input, bounce ideas off of them, and have lunch meetings with them. They haven't started talking back yet, but they do have a keen ear on picking up on my mistakes.

Luckily there is some field work when I go surveying, so I talk to the trees then and mumble to the squirrels.

You hit the nail on the head. People can change, but that never leads to anything good in my opinion. You're much better off acknowledging that you're incompatible and move on.

I have open shelving in my garage for most of the truck and bike chemicals. I have a cabinet in my basement for some stuff but don't like to keep anything nasty in there. Ideally, if you have a flammable storage cabinet, that would be best but not everyone has one of them laying around... I just use the open plastic shelving from Home Depot, seems to work well.
