Yup!

Why what's your problem with them?

 

Just went there for the first time last weekend. The steak I had was better than I was expectign

 

Yep their steaks taste better than mine even when I get the good one's from a little market. Good Steaks at Texas Roadhouse too.

 

Texas Roadhouse has awesome food. Way back when my kids were little, my wife worked as a bartender at the one in Worcester. Steaks, ribs...couldn't get enough

 

You should try brining them. A lot of restaurants do that, to improve the flavor of what would otherwise be a mediocre cut. It'll really improve the flavor and the texture of any steak that you want to grill if you let it soak in a brine for 30 mintues or so before you toss it on the grill.

 

I'm getting a little less full!!! I can't say hungry because well; has anyone ever had a Longhorn burger before? If you haven't I suggest you try one out sometime. They are big, 1/2 pound burgers and they taste just like a steak. Yum!

 

Brining turkey for Thanksgiving makes it taste 100% better

Yep. I brined a turkey last summer for 3 days before I put it on the grill. Cooked it over charcoal for 3 hours and it was absolutely amazing. Works for chickens and pork too, and it makes for some amazing steaks over hickory & charcoal.

 

I make a simple brine myself, but you can buy brines as well. There's a lot of flavored ones on the market now.
Mine is just sugar, salt, and water. Occasionally I'll add garlic or some spices like thyme or rosemary, but really I like how the brine highlights the flavor of the meat itself so usually I just leave it as-is.

What's your recipe? Amounts of each?

 

Gallon of water, 1 cup of pickling salt (because it's cheap, lol), 1/2 brown sugar. Scales up or down easy too.
For a couple of pork chops or a couple of steaks a 1/2 batch is plenty.
