Damn Mike, that's scary as hell! Invest in some SS safety wire and pliers. If it's good enough for the FAA, it's probably good enough for a truck! Problem is getting bolts with a hole in the head....

 

Yikes. That is outrageous. I'd be tempted to change the wheel studs and the lugs.

 

Funny you mention that, I was just reading an article about motorcycles where they show you how to do that to all your bike bolts. I'd never heard of such a thing until then but it's a damn good idea!

Just got the call from the Stealership and they are living up to their name... Sort of hard for me to argue with them when they have a vehicle that's not driveable.

 

I just changed the wheels and got new lug nuts. I haven't considered the studs but that might be next in line...

Argh Day from hell. System crashed over the weekend and still hasn't come back up, so I've got 24 hours of orders backlogged in the system plus I've got three pages of handwritten notes for customers that need a call back so far.
Hope you all are having a better Monday than me!

Yeah, raining here too. Not like it matters since we've been too busy for me to take any breaks today.

 

Just got back a while ago from visiting a supplier to the company that I work for. It was pouring out - rain drops the size of quarters... There's a construction zone on the highway that I had to go through and it was raining so hard that I thought I was going to have to get out an oar and row. Water was collecting between the Jersey barriers like a tub.

 

Yup, pouring here as well. I hope all the grass seed I put down Saturday doesn't get washed away..

It's really easy. The radial engines i used to help maintain had safety wire on every single fastener. Looks beautiful when it's all done. Contrasts against the black cylinders, and looks awesome. Not to mention functional.
