Sounds Awesome! My in-laws were in Italy last year and went to Murano as well. They ended up buying some piece of art glass, it's pretty damn cool. Ahhh, but real Italian food, soo hungry now! Glad you had a great trip!

 

Venice has good food for sure, the problem is like 95% of the stuff is sort ofa tourist trap, you have to work to find little hole in the wall type places.

I think the food in Florence was much better in general though. The good in Venice was certainly great (especially the seafood), but I thought the food in Florence was better still.

 

Seeing the Murano glass being made was definitely cool. We didn't buy any though, just like Waterford crystal it's stupid expensive.

 

lol, they won't tell us how expensive it was they just said keep the kids far away from it!

 

That's a good sign of the money they spent!

 

I know it makes me nervous just looking at when we go over there.

No, baby sleeping in the bed problem. I don't sleep when the little ones are in the bed with me. Always too afraid of rolling over on them.

 

I hear that. Every time my little ones are in mine I'm the same way.

 

I feel EVERY movement from them when they are in the bed. I don't think I slept from 2:30 on last night

 

Bummer. That sucks.

 

I got use to that, as my ex never stopped them from climbing into bed with us. I have a king size bed, and usually woke up on the very edge of it.

 

Hell, I don't even have kids and I live that one.

 

I'm the same way, Rob. I can't sleep when the little one is on bed with me either for that same reason. If the older one is sick and I need to lay down with him, I can fall asleep then because he's bigger and it's not as much of a concern but I'm always afraid I'll break the baby.

 

One of my cats always sleeps on me and another one will sometimes headbutt my face at some ungodly hour, does that count?

 

You sound like me! Have a 2 week old at home and sleep is just shit right now. He feeds every 3 hours, and my body is still on the "hey asshole, you always got up at 5:30 AM, so that's what we are still going to do" phase.

I hear it gets better, but the jury is still out on this kid. No receipt so he has to stay lol....

 

Totally depends on the kid. My first was great, sleeping through the night very early on and always easy to put down. The younger one... he's a whole different animal! When he's not happy, he makes sure everyone, including the neighbors, know about it. For such a little guy, he's got an impressive set of lungs! At 7 months, he's still not sleeping overly well.
