Of course it's a tank in the snow; they're something like 5000lbs at the curb.

Nothing is, anymore. You want a V6 and 4x4 in our trucks and you're looking at an MSRP of $33k. :notsure:

Doesn't have to be tiny, even. My mortgage is only a little more than that (around $725) and I've got 2000 square feet and a detached garage on nearly 3 acres!

We bought as a short-sale that had been vacant for about 3 years, so it definitely needed work (mostly plumbing that had frozen and burst) which wasn't a big deal. The realtor gave us the keys after I signed a P&S agreement and I spent about a week after work chasing plumbing leaks, fixing them, and then patching & painting the drywall before the housing inspector made his tour. A few other miscellaneous things and we were good to go. Then we've been doing updates and replacing things ever since.

True but that mortgage is longer than 7 yrs.

Scott, I thought SC was more reasonably priced.

I forget what part, but not long ago I looked on Zillow just for funsies. Found quite a few houses around 100k. My house here in MA is 1000 square, 2/3 an acre, cost me $250k in 2004 and was falling apart. I'm still working on it. If I sold it today, my equity would buy that 100K house outright and be similar to where I am now.

Very true. On the other hand, I've been there nearly 4 years and the house is appraised at $170k by the town, so when I sell it I'll stand to make a considerable amount of $.

I've lost money on a car as soon as I drive it off the lot.

That place looks like a lot of fun. Might have to check it out in a few weeks when I am down there.

I walked out to the company's mailbox earlier today and got caught in a shower. Very warm rain, no wind, sunny. Was weird, but an enjoyable weird. Plus it had that awesome 'summertime rain' smell.

Just got caught with the top down. Went up easy enough and I threw the cover on till it ends. I left all the rear windows down the cape while I drove up to take care of stuff
