My wife calls it "dead worms smell"

 

One of my favorites. I love to roll my windows down and go for a drive after a summer rain shower.

You got me after every time it rains and we go outside that's what she smells/thinks. I think she related the squished worms in a driveway and that smell as a kid and made that association ever since, that's my theory

 

It's actually called petrichor.

 

Wow no shit. They actually have a name for it. Lol. I always thought it was more from the asphalt than anything else

 

I always thought it was the smell of the dirt I didn't realize it actually had a name either.

 

Whatever it's called, I like it. (that which we call a rose..)

Saw the new ridgeline black edition today. It looked really small to me. Seemed smaller than the old one. Nice car but it was 43k

Things are terrible, but I have to admit I am severely jealous of the "bed trunk."

Meh. I'd rather have my spare accessible even if I've got a bed full of stuff. For whatever reason the only times I've gotten flat tires over the years have been when the bed's loaded.

 

I loved the old ones. Super comfy. Not a "real truck" but I used to steal them from the dealership if I was moving or doing house stuff and they were great

 

Exactly! Because you'll inevitably get a flat when you have a bed full of stone so have fun shoveling everything out, getting the spare, then shoveling it all back in. Although, it seems more and more vehicles these days don't even come with a spare anymore... Pussification of America, we can't even change our own flats.

 

Yeah, or a rounded over load of firewood. That's what I had the last time I got a flat. Wasn't sure the jack in that old Nissan would be able to handle the weight, but it did.

 

More of a cost cutting measure..much like not having delay wipers.
