    Does anyone really care?
One of my personal faves was tying an old rag around the potato and soaking it with the stuff inside a glow stick... Glow in the dark tracer rounds! Those suckers go friggin far...

I think the Crosstrek is a great idea. I know a few people who have them and love them. My main issue with them is I think they're underpowered. Having said that, though, I was one of the few Outback buyers who always seeked out the H6 models.

My buddy's mom bought us a book called "Backyard Ballistics" when I was in middle school. That plus having a full plumbers workshop and converting everything to copper and copper fittings and plus using welding gas... We put a 1-inch metal ball through the side of a concrete wall and built a mortar system that sent a flaming tennis ball 5 streets over into the middle of our high school soccer field during a game. Also made a rotating potato cannon and a cantelope launcher.

Needless to say we had a lot of "Science experiments" whenever the cops came for loud noises... His mom took the book away after 3 weeks and I went and rented it from the public library....

On a side note - dropped my spare tire yesterday to check it out. Had a brand new BFG Rugged Trail on it, well from back in 2008. The spare is all rusted to sh1t though... not sure whether to just mount the new tire on it and call it a day or have it sandblasted and rustoleum the crap out of it...

Another question - anyone here have a CB Radio?

I spent some time trying to push her towards either the Crosstrek or the Mazda. At this point she seems to have her heart set on the Mustang.

    Yes, in my plow truck.

Same. My house actually has a unit that was built into the wall when we bought it. Except for the yearly test to make sure it still works I haven't used the A/C setting at all, lol. Usually I just use it as a fan. :notsure:

Dunno. I have a shorter, window-mounted unit for my CB and I noticed that I had less range than with one of the 62" whips I was using before. Size definitely matters for antennas, so I don't think that thing will set your world on fire. :notsure:

Yes, I have the Cobra 75 Wx ST https://www.amazon.com/Cobra-75WXST-40-Channel-CB-Radio/dp/B00005N5WW with a BAMF rear mount and a 3' flexible antenna

Rebecca you still can't hook up a CB to that antenna. It's only meant to look like one for a CB.

I guess my suggestion won't help.
I had one of those shorter antenna's on my Taco and it didn't work for shit, tried a signal booster and still worked like shit , plus I mostly listen to Bluetooth or ipod anyway.

@DoubleRGirl You could always cut down your factory antenna, lots of people do that

Cobra's a nice brand. I've just got an inexpensive Midland in the '84, but it works pretty well for what it is.

Edit- I did have to run an extra ground, though. Since my antenna's a window-mount unit it isn't directly grounded, and I was getting a lot of feedback from the engine's ignition system. Ran an extra ground to the antenna cable and cleaned it up a lot.

I've got the cobra 75wxst in my FJ. I think a few others here run it too.

Edit: Rob beat me to it. That's the one I've got too
