California Car Covers - I bought a hail padded one. Most expensive car cover I ever bought but saved my ass a few times already. I just need to find someplace to wash it....

I've been in a bubble between vacation and scrambling to get caught up at work, what did I miss?

Not sure what kind of idiot thinks that's going to calm anything down. Shooting cops puts cops on edge, makes them more likely to draw and fire in a stressful situation.

    Vicious cycle to be sure.

I do understand the anger as it seems police are insulated from wrongdoing..and I have a couple of stories I could tell on the matter from my younger years.

Jebus... I guess I really have been in a bubble. That's pretty terrible, these last few weeks have been riddled with shit like this. Makes me really nervous about what's to come with the election results in November. Regardless of which dope wins, I have a feeling the reaction won't be good (and I sincerely hope I'm wrong).

Unfortunately, whomever wins is going to cause some serious shit on the other side of the table. As another 'unfortunately', I think the one who will actually win has the power and history to really make matters worse for everyone.

Tires for a truck. I don't do much 'heavy' towing, but do pull a small camper and boat every now and again. I need new tires and have found some pretty good deals, but they are for 'P' rated tires. Am I stupid for considering it? Wondering if I should just pony up and get an LT tire, or if that is not needed with an F-150. Every forum I find has people for and against it; and for some reason I trust you guys more.

If you're not towing anything more than the occasional trip with a small camper or boat then P tires are plenty. Jumping into an LT will cost you more $$, get you a stiffer ride, decreased gas mileage, and typically you lose the mileage warranty as well.

Met a friend at Moes for lunch up at Patriot Place. Now I'm super sleepy and just want to curl up under my desk and sleep George Costanza style.

My F150 is rated to tow 8,000 lbs, so not the full HD tow package but has the tow package and came with P-rated tires from the factory. My new tires are SL (Standard Load), but have the same load index that the P rated tires did. They do fine with the camper I tow, I don't think they were 'squishy' or anything. I would stick with a P-rated truck tire unless you have a specific need for an LT tire.
Personally, I wouldn't, but that's because I have not had good luck with Cooper recently. Traction-wise, I'm sure they'll be great but they get loud with age and will likely cup on you, even if you keep up with tire rotations and keep them properly inflated.

Check out the BFG Rugged Terrain or Hankook AT. Sears had a good deal on them when I was looking a few months back. Until I found the tire/wheel package that I have now, I was going to go with them from Sears.

Damn, that looks like the exact one that's on there. Can you buy just the guts or a rebuild kit for it? A lot of the hardware will work, it's the master cylinder and back that will need to be sorted out.
