A coworker of mine just bought a 2016 GMC Sierra full 4 door with the All Terrain package. Truck goes for something like $54k, got the truck for $37k.

I do too. I don't like how low the headliner sits where it meets the windsheild.

That's more than what we paid my GF's old Honda Fit knocked off. When it was new.

Can't stand the offset steering wheel. The driver's seat and the steering wheel don't actually line up. I thought it was just funny camera angle in the pictures, but I sat behind one last year at the Boston Auto Show and it actually is slightly offset. I like the styling, but I'm just OCD enough that I wouldn't be able to deal with that, lol.

    Edit: Photographic evidence.

Supposedly it's a safety feature, so in a head-on collision the steering wheel doesn't kill you. But it's more noticeable in some trucks than in others.

Really??? I would think with it offset, it would allow the metal shards from the airbag be aimed right at your right side jugular instead of the windpipe...

Personally it wouldn't bother me from an asthetic point or OCD, but I feel like it would be uncomfortable. Especially on long drives. Get fatigued quicker and get like a back strain or something

Did you check the abs wires going to the front hubs? Could have just been coincidence and one of the wires somehow got.damaged

    Lol, wtf.

The GF just saw me looking at trucks online and told me that I shouldn't trade the Tacoma in on a new truck because it's not practical. I pointed out that the Tacoma's 6 (almost 7), so realistically in the next few years I can expect to have some expensive repairs come due if I don't trade it, and it's still new enough (and the mileage is low enough) that I can get a decent trade-in for it. She told me that getting a new truck, especially a full-sized, isn't a good use of money because it's more expensive and won't get better gas mileage than the Tacoma, so I pointed out that
    A) Most full-sized trucks get the same mileage as the Tacomas
    B) A full-sized truck can carry more people and more stuff/cargo than my Tacoma
    C) The flat floor in the back of a new full-size will work better for the dog now that she's getting older
    D) I wasn't going to listen to a lecture in practicality from a girl who just traded a 3YO paid-for car that got almost 40MPG's for a brand new one that gets worse gas mileage, can carry fewer people, and cost more than twice as much.

So now I'm in trouble, lol.

    Me too :anonymous:

It's redneck engineering at its finest. It's so you can comfortably hold the wheel with your right hand and have your left arm out the window.

Hate to say it, but there's a good chance my next vehicle will be a 3/4 ton. The half ton prices are outrageous. I can buy a 3/4 ton diesel for less than a moderately dressed half ton.

It's for people like me who lean on the center arm rest while driving.

I know, I know, but I needed a half ton.
It caters to the bros who lean to the right.

Try unhooking the battery for 10 minutes, lady friend stalled mine while learning to drive stick and the vsc light stayed on for the ride home. Unhooked the battery and it went away.

Not bad. I drop to 9 with the little camper but I think that has a lot to do with the campers' resemblance to a sail behind the truck.i bet I could add another 2000 lbs to the trailer and it wouldn't dip much further, if at all.
