Damn that makes me jealous. One, that you have a garage, and two, that you have the full kit.

I'll have to find somewhere that does it and pay them for it.

 

I did my first truck in my Mom's driveway by hand. PM me and I can walk you through how to do it.

 

There's a member in northern CT that did several guys truck recently. There was some talk about another get together to spray some more trucks. @Cativelense - see if he chimes in on who &where...

 

That would be awesome. I'd rather throw money to a fellow TW member than some random auto body shop.

So... picked up a set of OEM 2013 headlights for $118 shipped to me. YEAH BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Couldn't pass it up. Not for that price! Now it's time to figure out if I want to send them to some one to do the retros, or attempt the BHLM...

I dunno man... Doing that myself freaks me out.

 

If you go slow and take your time, it's really not that bad. Just be patient and use the least amount of heat possible.

I loved how mine came out and I'm sure yours will look just as good.

 

I dunno though... Something tells me that it won't be as easy as I'd like it to be , which will frustrate the heck out of me. It's just the way I am. Too much of a perfectionist so if I do kt and something goes wrong, or doesn't come out perfect , it'll bother the hell outta me and I'll get super pissed off. Not very much the "hands on" type of person I'd like to be.

 

I agree seems like people are always trying to fuck you or take the easy way out. In dealing with 6-7 salesmen if only met one guy I had a pleasant experience with.

I Go to local dealers for work once and awhile. One of my favorites was a manager tells me " One of my salesmen sold a car via email and it seems that the info given was stolen and it's credit fraud" I look at the credit/financing/bill of sale stuff submitted to them. Shit you not the "buyers" financing app listed him as an electrical engineer making $250k a year and couldn't string 3 words in an email. In two different documents the social security number was different and the first name was spelled two different ways"brandon-Brenden". Icing on the cake is the salesmen signed the vehicle to the tow driver for an export company destination to a terminal in Newark NJ. I bet someone in west Africa is driving around a new outback right now. The salesman was only worried he would have to pay his commision back. I ask him if he thought that it was unusual to misspell your own name and social security number. He tells me he thought it was an honest mistake so he never emailed the guy back just used the original info... he also didn't think it was weird to ship the car to a shipping terminal when it was supposed to go to the center of the county. How did that make it through 3+ people at a large dealer and result in a car actually being shipped and some poor bastards credit being diddled?

The salesman had a monthly quota to meet. Doesn't matter who or where, just as long as he can fill in the sales chart and meet a goal. Company I work for is run in a similar fashion. Operations goal is X units per month - good, bad, it doesn't matter; just spit out X units per month. Meanwhile, scrap is through the roof and folks work 7 days a week making it. I think this is becoming the norm...

I have the same thing the first weekend that I work outside every spring. After they blister they toughen up, though, so by fall I can practically sand wood with my palms, lol.

 

The problem was I let the calluses get too thick, and when you do they tear easily. They need to be shaved down from time to time.
