I cheated this year, lol. I just didn't have time this fall to take a day to fluid film my truck, so I paid a local shop $125 to do it for me instead. Honestly, I don't think I'll go back to doing it myself, because he only charges $75 for repeat applications for people who've already had it done. $75 is more than worth it to me to not have the aggravation of cardboarding my entire driveway, getting fluid film all over my coveralls and having to deal with keeping it warm.

Yea I went too heavy with the bed coating again and it took about 10 days to dry and not be super soft with the colder/rainy weather.... Then I forgot about it and remembered while I was unloading the truck last night. I didn't put bed coating inside the receiver hole - just left it primered. I need to figure out what to spray down there to keep it protected and from rusting when it scrapes up. Going to need it this weekend to move the trailer in my back yard.

So, @Pugga I installed those LED's and they really are a huge improvement over the factory headlights. But, I'm really annoyed because the passenger side low beam only runs for about 10 seconds and then kicks off. I emailed the manufacturer and they told me to swap the ballasts and the lights around to make sure it's not an issue with parts, so I had to swap the bulbs, then swap the ballasts, then swap both. Still the passenger side low beam, so they decided that I needed to buy a CANbus resistor kit. Apparently it's an issue for them on the 2016 F150's since everything's run through the computer, and the lower draw of the LED makes the computer think it's got a burnt light so it cuts power to that pigtail.

I gave the guy at the LED place a piece of my mind, though, because there's no mention of that anywhere on their website or on Amazon, and that you'd think that they'd be smart enough to include the resistors in the relocation kit that I bought if it's that common of a problem. I also mentioned that I wasn't impressed with having to buy the bulbs, then spend another $50 on the relocation kits (and shipping) and then spend another $30 (plus shipping) on a resistor kit that they knew I'd need but didn't mention.
Oh, and the price on amazon when they were running their sale was $140 per bulb set, and now it's $125, lol.

So, so far I'm impressed all to hell with the bulbs themselves, but the kits themselves are lacking (at least for my truck), which pisses me off. I hate when you buy something and then have to buy something else just to make it work right. It's a pet peeve of mine. :notsure:

Yep. For that price I couldn't say no. The $75 respray next year includes the FF too.

Damn... That would pretty royally piss me off also! I'm glad you finally have them up and running though. Does the resistor have to be soldered into the factory wiring? The 2013 model was truly plug and play. I had to take out the headlights to swap the bulb, but that was the hardest part. I'm not sure I'd go for the kit if I had to spend another $80 just to make them work!

On a side note - I got my windshield replaced this weekend, while I was at safelite there was a 2009 access cab TRD OR with the factory subwoofer mounted to the back wall. He was in for a replacement rear window (made an oops while loading the truck apparently) and the guys there had no idea how to take it off. They asked me since my truck had was 'modded out' (according to the guy there) if I knew how to so I grabbed my tool bag from my truck and pulled the sub and rear seat trim for them.....

I saw a BMW X6M DINAN this weekend. It was beautiful. The guy driving it went down Route 3 at the braintree split and hammered it because he was sick of being stuck in traffic and the sound that thing made was amazing. Might want to trade in every vehicle I have to get one now.

Yep. I'm less than impressed, honestly. The extra light is great, but the process they've got for my truck really sucks.
It's a plug & play resistor, at least. Still not too impressed, though.

There's a couple of places around here that advertise it, actually. Crooked Wheel in Winthrop is one, but Top Tech in Bowdoinham is where I took mine.

I agree, they look nice, but watch the Top Gear BBC review of it, it might change your view on it. At least when they did their review of it, it was pretty useless. I'll stick to my pick up.
