The snowflake rating is kind of misleading. My ko2s have it, and they are decent in snow/ice so long as you don't overdrive them in the conditions. They have minimal siping, so that's to be expected. Compared to the atws on the wife's car they are laughable especially on hard packed snow/ice.

Big tread blocks with no siping. If sipes are the 'fingers' that grip the road with tires, MT's are club hands.

 

Oh i am well aware. I didn't buy them for winter, but I have done snow wheeling with them. They were great in deep snow. Since they have worn down they are junk on the road with a couple inches of snow.

 

My Hankook MT's did good last winter but then again it didn't snow last winter

 

I like the factory trigger on my S&W, actually. His is MA compliant and it sucks

 

Ah, my friend has a MA Shield, with full Apex. I am thinking of getting one. I don't like the hinge one the M&P Triggers.

 

I have heard good things about the Apex kits, but since I like the trigger on my M&P I haven't felt the need to tinker with it yet, lol.

 

Yeah we are not so lucky here in MA. We have to spend more money to make ours work right.

 

Yep... I have a Timney trigger in a couple of my toys that I absolutely love.

 

Excuse my ignorance on the subject but can people in Mass legally modify the triggers to be more user friendly?

 

Yes, but if you ever needed to "use" it, for a defensive purpose, you better believe it will be used against you in court. Your life is prett much F*cked at that point anyway.

 

Yes. There are consumer safety regulations that force manufacturers into creating MA compliant models with a certain trigger pull. After you buy it, you can do whatever you want to with it and you can resell it with those modifications and be perfectly legal (obviously there are some modifications that may not be legal but everything discussed today is all on the up and up). It's no different than your vehicle. CMRs force manufacturers to meet minimum safety requirements but after you buy it, you can do what you will do it.

To a point yes I see the comparison, but one still has to pass inspection every year on the truck. You know like me and my aftermarket Toyota LED tails *snicker*
